What are your thoughts on using 20lb fluoro for squarebills and spinnerbaits around wood cover? I have been using braid with no issues however that is my only set up still using braid. Just wondering if I should make the switch or buy another spool of braid?

20lb FC sounds like a reasonable choice in heavier cover. I don't see the braid being a particular advantage (or disadvantage) in that application. I have braid on a majority of my rigs currently. Primarily to simplify and limit the number of rods I carry. But I'm re-thinking some of that for next year.

20lb floro would do the job just fine. I throw 15lb for squarebills and spinnerbaits without any breakage problems and it is in some pretty thick Louisiana junk.

OK, I don't really like braid for cranks at all, but if it's not broke, why fix it?

Good choice. I would opt for 15-17 # though if its an option.

I use 15-20 pound mono around heavy cover for moving baits with no problems, if it works for you then go with it.

Cliff,

I do all my spinnerbait and square bill work with 15 and 20 Yo Zuri Hybrid. I have not had a break off yet. I wouldn't flinch a bit at using your fouro and I know you fish some serious timber and wood.

LOL, then use the fluoro - it will be fine.
