I see the Versus channel is going to become a 24 hour NBC sports channel. Anyone hear what's going to happen to their outdoor programs??

I wouldn't be suprised if it vanished.

Considering there's Deer or related hunting shows on 23 hours a day, I wouldn't mind.

Since Golf and Hunting have their own channels, I'd like to see a fishing dedicated channel.

But not on national cable, it's only select areas, unlike golf channel which is backed by NBC

I haven't heard anything about them going away... The Next Bite is just about to start season 8, so they shouldn't be going anywhere for at least a year

In fact, Lunkerville TV will be on the new network, and there is plans for a second show with Mike D.

The Next Bite is also on WFN.....Not saying that Versus will change, but several show's Versus carries, WFN also carries.

FLW, Hook N' Look, Lindners Angling Edge, Next Bite, and others.

My guess is that NBC will try to go head-to-head against ESPN. Which means no hunting or fishing shows.

I'm sure they'll need to honor current VS contracts, so it wouldn't be immediate. So expect to see them go away for the 2013 season.

That's a shame, because I really think that overall VS does a good job. Outdoor show's, obscure but entertaining college football, INDYCAR, some Nascar, very little poker.

I have still not figured out why Poker is EVER on ESPN
