Well probably not the best idea to buy a bass boat right before you leave for 7 months buuuuut I couldn't pass it up. Paid 5k for a 97 champion 1717ft. Carpet is great, seats are immaculate, all gauges worked, lowrance on bow and console, live wells worked great couldn't be happier at this point lol. We will see after I get back.

Took 2 weeks of leave and will be heading out the door in the next couple weeks for the middle East as you all know. Didn't fish much but managed this. 5.46lbr. The great lakes got the best of us. Made our 15 mile run fished a little then had to make a scary ride in with 4 and 5 footers luckily going with the wind. Made it in safely after that white knuckle ride. Gotta love the great lakes. The big ol walleye charters even came in. They were tripping when they saw us roll into the river lol. Call for 2mph winds ends up 20mph.

Those are some nice smallies. Nothing like our waters. No pressure and lots of big smallies. Plenty of waters with them there.

Thats is an awesome day! Have any pics also of the fish? Ill be up north first 2 weeks of may. Hope to get some smallie time before i head out the door.

Indiana finesse yes im still going. I dont leave until 2 months from now. Then i wont be fishing until next february lol. And ill be going to like 7 different middle eaatern countries

.Got out to the big fish lake. Had a cold front move through...for az ppl that is 55degrees lol. The fish out here always eat good after a cold front which is weird to other places ive fished. Ended up with only 21lbs. I only say only because of the average size fish in here are up around 5lbs. I was there about an hr and another guy comes by and says "any big ones"? I said ya a 5.2lbr was big fish for the day. He says "meh average" lol thats when u know its a quality lake. Caught all my fish on a black 1/2ounce spinnerbait or deep crank in green gizzard. Lost 2 nice ones that woulda culled my smallest ones.

Thanks guys! Definitely had a good time. We call every month out here on the river froguary lol. Im willing to bet there is no place better in the country for the frog bite we get out here.

Well was able to get out in between deployment prep and working. We got 2 days off so i am taking advantage yesterday and monday. Caught 33 total. Alot of small fish but did manage a 17.8lb 5 fish limit. This is a different area than i been fishing. We just skip our spros or live target sunfidh as far under the brush in the pictures as you can and BOOM explosions. Alot of post spawn fish. Here are our best 5 and even had a double up.

People spend to much time reading books instead of fishing. All boooks say how hard it is catching bass in cold muddy water. All those pigs i been posting were caught in 18ft on 6xds in muddy water up until 2 weeks ago lol. Nice fish! And on the buzzbait. I dont remember the last buzz fish ive caught

Guessing 9 but my motto is always have a scale no matter how long you will be out. Now you dont know the weight of your pb. But great big fatty tho. Congrats
