  1. i dont know how good shawnee mission park will be after dropping the water level about 8 feet. ive only been there a few times. kill creek is a better choice with or without a boat 85% of the time.
  2. i have the 884 savage 175 efi 25" ballistic prop and im getting 64mph. hi 60's is a whole new class of motor from what ive seen..........i could be wrong.
  3. water base goof off doesnt do anything on the sticker gunk and im scared to use the other type goof off since its reported to eat paint off a truck. WD-40 never crossed my mind though.......
  4. i know theres at least one guy out there thats knows the perfect way for me to remove the stickers/gunk off my fiberglass boat. any ideas would be great thanks.
  5. def. what cory said. i like vcm hooks on everything i toss. for what i fish i like the 200's and 300's due to the fact they float up real fast.... which equals they will float over the bigger rocks and timber getting hung up less. one thing that takes a while to get over is running the bait into anything and everything and not worrying about getting hung up. i have in the past gotten hung up and tried to jiggle the bait loose only to have a bass hit the bait while it was hung up on a stump. the other great thing is you can use these baits year around depending on if there wind and what the winds blowing past/over.
  6. LOL!!!! ;D maybe i should have said i must be the only guy who admits using speed clips.
  7. i dont mind them. theres only a few baits i like to toss while using speed clips so i only use them on spinning outfits. i have however used them on all types of crank baits and found them work ok. i, however dont like speed clips and mono line.
  8. i must be the only guy that uses norman speed clips
  9. that has to be one of the deepest pieces of water in the eastern part of kansas. no telling what else swims in the place.
  10. ever see a man get his heart ripped out?.........lol after the husband and myself had agreed on a price on my boat the wife came over and nit-picked it to death. then tried to get me to knock off $800. i have to tell you it didnt hurt my feelings a bit to back my boat back in my garage tonight. if ima give it away its going to friends or family.
  11. 60 feet is mighty deep. i wonder if its a strip pit or something.
  12. looks like tomorrow ill be selling my bass boat. ive had the boat since 1997 and have logged tons of hours fishing from the boat. the buyer spend the evening with me out fishing and is bringing the wife over for the final ok. now ill find out if the new boats are worth the extra $$$.
  13. red plastic worms and the bite is sloooooow.
  14. anyone have an update on this lake?
  15. an old crank phone, 2 long cables and 2 lead balls.......... j/k id toss a smaller crank over the gravel around the grass in the brighter times of the day. also depending on how deep the gravel is i like a 4" trick worm pumpkin on a shakey jig head.
  16. whats even funnier is when the lake lice dont know my bass boat is much faster than their toy....... most of the seasoned fleas know not to buzz bass boats.
  17. ive not had my boat in the water for over 2 week. i wonder if it still floats...........
  18. me too plus i carry an extra set with races just in case.
  19. does the storm door count the same as the fan?
  20. my brother just bought a 1988 Tracker Tourney F/S boat with a 115hp motor. the seller stated that the 115hp motor is the same as the 150hp motor with different carbs. anyone know if this is true or not?
  21. i also was wonderin if the price was a typo or something then seen the listing for the unit. odd. i was planning on trying to get a good deal on a sol over at ebay but now i think im going to hold off. the pro max looks like its just the thing to replace the old 5000D.
  22. meet my father out pond hopping. we were bass fishing BTW.......lol and now the son doin a little pre-fishing
  23. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewabugarciapreview08.html this is good news for everyone.
  24. gummyworms anyone?
  25. there are a few crankbaits that i like to work slow. i like suspending baits over rip rap with deeper water close by and when i feel that bait bounce off a rock i stop............and wait. then crank till i hit the next rock. its a good way to catch whatevers eating at the time. i like the darker craw colors best.
