I really think I'm going to start a series of threads called (Reasons why California SUCK!!!!). This is my second thread regarding the "Suckiness" of the Golden State. The first thread was regarding the State giving us IOU's instead of our Tax returns. Here is Episode #2. With the new "Next Gen" consoles that take an extreme amount of power usage. Are you guys going to put strict restrictions on these too. If these people spent the same amount of time on our state budget that they spent on ridiculous ideas like this, maybe I would have got MY money for my taxes instead of a IOU...... {RANT OVER!!!!} More to come ;D

Although I've never use the Mojo, I really like the Okuma's. For the money they are a VERY hard rod to beat. The warranty on them is decent and it seems that a majority of the guys that start throwing swimbaits, start throwing them on this rod. I know it was my first SB rod (7'6" H) and I still own it and use it all the time. You won't be disapointed with it

Just spent $120 at tackle warehouse ;D Now I'm just waiting to receive my IOU from the GREAT state of California. : They owe me about $300

Don't forget the most basic stuff like trailer hitch locks. Also I had a buddy that bought the tire locks that the police use to attach to tires for cars. When attached to a wheel it makes it impossible for the wheels to turn. I would definately do more than just build a fence. The fence is only going to keep them out for a moment. You want to give them plenty of hurdles to jump through and make them tough as possible.

I think i'm more weirded out by the fact that a strange old man told a little kid "i got 5 bucks for ya, but you'll have to earn it". That would of freaked me out at 11 years old..... Dirty old man!!!! :-[

I own the Stick Jackets and they do offer pretty good protection. I feel much better having these on while they are in my car. Obviously they aren't going to be any protection against a door or tailgate, but against the minor bumps and bangs, they do great. The price is right as well

+1 on the 2500. I use it for my DS/small jigs/small weightless plastic rod spooled with 20# Suffix Braid and it is a GREAT reel. I highly recommend it.

Lol whats the story there? I bought his old P.O.S. that had been sitting in a field for a year or so. It was in pretty bad shape. Rusty and bent trailer. The carpet was coming up, so he put about 200 staples randomly in the floor to try to keep it down, but It just tore around the staples, so you really couldn't walk on it without shoes. Just a general overall money pit. I fixed it up and it's a bass fishing machine now. The worst part is I now have a boat so I have to take him fishing all the time. :

I own the ones with the Carbide(SP) cutters to cut braid. So far they are perfect for what I want them for. They are reasonably priced as well

Your rods are works of art, I wouldnt put them in the same category of any mass produced rod, no matter if they are considered the standard That rod you built for Russ is beautiful. +1. That's like comparing Eagle Claws to Owners.....

If you guys ever decide to bring it over to big fish country then we'll talk Otherwise you can count us Kali guys out.... It sounds like a lot of fun, but i'd rather drive 2-5 hours to catch fish than 2-5 days. You guys have fun for us though!!! ;D
