  1. What's that suppose to mean? Look at a turd.... then look at a IMX or GLX. Neither have any fashion sense :-? I'm not knocking the rod at all. I own two (956 and MBR844) and they are awesome. They just aren't as "Hip" as some of my other rods. Look at the new Dobyns.... not only are they eye catching, but they perform well. I expect that from people your age ;D
  2. Actually Yes, PETA did submit it, but obviouusly NBC rejected it. But do you really think PETA believed the ad would have ever been approved anyway? I guarantee you that was never part of the plan. They made the ad, submitted it knowing it would be rejected, which would mean they could put out a press release, and news outlets would pick up the "story", which would then get PETA free publicity. It worked! I'm guilty!!
  3. Whew!!! I tought it was just me. The name of a reel and the color are way low on the priority list : Color definitely isn't a priority, but if you have the same two reels available in two different colors...why not pick the better looking one? I agree with you on that. But now people are talking about choosing line that makes their reel stand out. I could care less about looks. Take G-Loomis for example. They matched their rod colors to a turd!! I guess it's just like baits. Some are just made to catch the eye of the angler!!!

  5. There is only one way to solve that..... buy bigger boxes ---> Buy a bigger boat -----> buy a bigger house to store the boat.... Easy as that ;D
  6. This thread is like listening to teenage girls shopping for a purse.... RIDICULOUS :

  8. http://www.davesite.com/webstation/web-site-design/ - This is the site that I first used to learn HTML and CSS. It's more geared towards the beginner. At the end of each chapter, it has an interactive portion to help you learn the skills you just went over. http://www.w3schools.com/ This is another great site. It's more for the beginner to intermediate builder, but is clean and well built. I also used this site for the more intermediate web building including XHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, etc. these links I gave you are assuming your going to be hard coding your site by hand using HTML, CSS, Java, etc. This takes some time to learn, but the results are great. You'll get a great site that doesn't look cheap and you can make sure your site get's seen. I was a webmaster for 5 different websites, ranging from photographers, to small business's, to dirt bike clubs. It's a lot of fun if you enjoy computer work. The results can we worth the time you put into it. Let me know if you have any questions. GOOD LUCK ;D
  9. BINGO!!!!! It should work both ways, this state is such a joke to live in >
  10. I love mine. It's probably one of my favorite rods I own. I picked up the 7'2" M. It's pretty good for 1/4oz jigs and shakey heads as well. For $120 it's a good deal with a split grip and a lifetime warranty as well.
  11. I think the "Marijuana Tax is higher in that county though 8-) Fourbizz is right... I used to live by him (But deeper in the woods) and that is all the kids did. Personally I've NEVER smoked and NEVER will, but I know a couple people that have small farms on their property. I believe in the past 5 years there have been about half a dozen farms that have been discovered in the area.
  12. I prefer using them in the morning, the bass seem to love them then :
  13. This is taken from the California Franchise Taxboard's website - "State Controller announces delay for tax refunds Due to the state's persistent cash and budget problems, the State Controller announced on Friday, January 16, 2009 that without immediate budget solutions that fix the state's cash shortfall he will have to delay refunds for 30 days starting February 1, 2009 for Personal Income Tax and Business Entity taxpayers. FTB is still processing returns as normal. However, it is likely this delay will affect state refunds for most early filers. Returns that have not completed processing before February 1, 2009 will have their refunds held for 30 days. This applies to all refund types. Delayed Direct Deposit Refunds (DDR) will be electronically transmitted when funds are available. FTB will update this website with FAQs as further information becomes available." If it wasn't for the great fishing......
  14. That rod should work. I haven't heard any reviews for that certain rod, but it should work great for those baits from 1 1\2 - 4 ounces. I would personally pair it with a Cardiff 300 if your on a budget or a Curado 300 if your not. Good luck
  15. A huge black worm DUH!!!!!
  16. Hmmmm, that's good to know. I always get tired of the stupid commercials with Free411..... thanks va-jay-jay
  17. +1. I was able to "Test Drive" at the ISE as well. As I was not excited about the pictures of it, I was pretty impressed with how it felt. I won't buy one, but they did feel good. I was also able to try out Dobyns new jig rog with a New Cronarch attached ;D. It is one sweet stick you guys!!!!
  18. I've heard that they are going to raise the fee for 411. So the "Free 411" voice activated system is always a good idea, although sometimes i've had problems with it and had to call 411 to geta real person.
  19. To the winning bidder ---- I'll give you all five of 4bizzs Big Bass Lakes. Shall we start the bidding at $100. ;D
  20. Thanks for making me feel young Glenn. 6 for me ;D

  22. Who you trying to fool Muddy : . Deps Buzzjet huh????
  23. Ask your question more clearly. Are you asking if it's ok to fish a 3/8 jig and a 1/4 jig on the same line, or a 3/8 or 1/4 on a spinning rod. Every rod has a weight guidline on the rod itself... look and see. We cannot tell you in your original post if it's ok without knowing what kind of spinning rod your using. There are a 50+ brands as well as 5+ different powers, plus 5 different actions, plus numerous different sizes.... how are we supposed to know what your using based on your first post? I'm not bashing you an any way, just giving you a tip on how to present a question so we can give you the correct answer you are looking for. First off if your asking about using two jigs on one line, I think 12 pound might be alright, but a medium light rod is too underpowered. If your asking if it's ok to use either a 1/4 or 3/8 jig on a spinning rod, I would say yes. Good luck man, stick with this site and you'll learn a ton.... take a look at the Fishing Articles, they are a great starting point.
  24. Jay, I'm having flashbacks of Chico!!!! ;D . We going to that concert at Arco???
