Hows everyones job situation?
The job situation for me is GREAT!!! Just got a great promotion. I went from making sandwiches all day busting my but making a decent wage but never having a set schedule or hours. I never new if I was going to get 24 hours or 48 hours, I landed a corporate job with the same company using my computer degree. I now have a desk job with a set schedule and a great raise. Awesome benefits with a 100% matching 401K ;D. I take care of a time and attendance system supporting 16,000 employees and 132 stores throughout California and parts of Nevada. It includes database management, support calls, network troubleshooting. It's a pretty sweet gig and I'm very fortunate to be working for a good company with a good job at my age. Sorry guys.... I felt like bragging a bit

I want 'ONE' hard swimbait
If I could only fish one swimbait for the rest of my life, it would probably be the wake jr in blue trout. But you would probably have to buy a swimbait rod to throw it with, assuming you don't have one already. Oh yea, you'd also have to buy a new reel to attach to that new rod. Well don't forget about the correct line for the Wake Jr. as well. ;D So much for not buying anymore tackle

The worst gifts...
X Infinite My ex's family used to get me this crap from wally world. They knew nothing about fishing so they would pick me out the stuff that caught their eye. So I usually ended up with pink crap. My secret santa person is going to end up with some of it. I threw it in with the rest of the stuff I got him. Sorry

New PB Spot!!
Lol, He needs it every once in awhile!!! It's healthy for him! It's a personal assumption I've made. Last fall I was fishing large shallow flats next to deep water. I noticed that a lot of the fish I was catching had red on the inside of their mouths. It was along the roofs of their mouths and inner lips. These red mouthed fish were also caught in the shallows on the flats and 8/10 of them had crawfish in their mouths. I kinda put two and two together and figured they were all swimming shallow, picking at the bottom, thus giving them red mouths. The fish I caught in the deep water had no red mouths. I've heard a couple people mention something similar. Anybody care to capitalize on my assumption, or tell me i'm wrong . Either way?

Huddleston rof's vs fished depths
Bait knockers and large swimbaits go hand in hand. You can't have one without the other!!!! I've personally saved over $400 in swimbaits with a $10 bait knocker. I know 4bizz has saved thousands. As far as getting stuck in rocks, with a 8in bait you have alot of leverage. Usually if I get stuck in rocks, all it takes is a different angle to pull from to get that bait free. So i'll move the boat a bit and 9/10 times i'm able to get free. It's when it gets stuck in a stump or tree limb that the bait knocker comes in handy. You cant be afraid to loose those bad boys, you gotta fish where the fish are!!!!

Huddleston rof's vs fished depths
Sorry, I should of clarified this in my original post, The ROF doesn't dictate "What" depth they fish at. It's simply states the "Rate Of Fall" of the bait. To understand the ROF's is simple. For an ROF 5, the bait falls 5 feet every 10 seconds. The ROF 12 falls 12 feet every 10 seconds.... so on and so forth. So technically speaking you could get an ROF 5 down to the same depths as the ROF 16, but it's going to take that much longer. Yes I've seen the phantoms in real life, i've already got times and places where these baits are going to be killer. Just waiting for that time Below is a picture from huddleston's website,

Huddleston rof's vs fished depths
ROF 0 - It floats, no explanation necessary!!! ROF 5 - I don't fish this one a lot but since it falls horizantal, I can fish is SUPER slow and maintain a natural swimming position at the desired depth. I usually use it for more shallow depths 1-10ft fishing it in the mid to upper water column. I've found that if you try to fish this one on the bottom, I have a hard time maintaing bottom contact. ROF 12 - My most used ROF. I use this one to bump the bottom. It dives nose down and gets to the bottom quicker. I use this one for the bottom of the water column. This ROF needs a little quicker retreive to maintain a horizantal swimming motion. I find myself throwing this one more than anything. I use it down to 25Ft or so hugging the bottom. ROF 16 - I've never used this one, but I'd assume you would use it for deep water over 25ft. I own the 6in but dont really throw it much, i'd assume the depths would be the same. I'd definately get a ROF12 in both the 8in and 6in. Maybe a ROF5 in both too.

Tackle Bag v.s Tackle Box
I use the Tackle Bag Backpack from BPS. It's great for times when I'm not on my boat, but also works well while i'm on my boat.

Mattlures hardbait question
I asked the same question to Matt back in November and he said that the sinking rates are inconsistent. He said they are around an ROF-3 to ROF-10. Not sure if he's fixed the inconsistency since then.

On your shakey heads...
I've been using the ones from *. Instead of a screw lock they have a small hook. I like them cause they dont tear the bait up as bad, but it seems after a few fish, the hooks gets loose and I've had a couple break. I'm pretty hard on them though.

Worst Christmas Gift ever....
Mine was a hooded scooby doo sweatshirt that said "Too Cool".... I was 18 :-/!!!! My girlfriends mom got it for me. It was a little small for me, probably cause it was a womens size . It was pretty awful. I had to pretend I was "Too Cool" and wear it for the night. The next morning I went straight to Good Will!! What's the worst Christmas gift you've ever received? Have any of you guys got one of those presents that you had to "pretend" to like?

p-line cxx vs. berkley big game in 25 lb. test
I've been using 25# Big Game for the last year. But just recently switched to 30# CXX. CXX has tons of memory, but I bought the KVD line conditioner after hearing good things about it and the memory vanished after use. I would highly suggest using some. I can't give you pro's and cons since I haven't had any time using 30 CXX yet. But it seemed that the Big Game got nicked fairly easily. I have used 4# CXX for dropshotting and I can tell you that stuff is tough as bricks!!! By far the strongest 4# i've ever used.

Evolution is real. PROOF.
Actually that's a cable issue, not DSL. Sorry, your right. But even with DSL, the farther away you get from the central office, the weaker the signal becomes.

Evolution is real. PROOF.
DSL is SOOOOOOO 1999!!!!! Let's hope your close to the hub, if not, it could slow down if everybody else is online at the same time. But... it has to be better than dial up. Glad to see your finally catching up with technology.

New PB Spot!!
Let us not forget, my TWO fish equaled the weight of ALL of your fish!! Here's my argument to your comments above: 1. Irrelevant in the given case!!!! 2. If you have that piece of structure figured out, then how does it feel to get worked on your own structure!! 3. No argument.... you did lay out the structure for me 4. You said that after I caught my 3-2 and I said "Judging by the color of their mouths and where I caught it, it looks as if they are grubbing up in the shallow." 5.I wouldn't have snagged the buoy if the driver wouldn't have been doing figures eights over the area!!!! 6. See highlight above.... "ONE(1(UNO))" swimbait follow is not relevant in an argument unless you actually hooked it. Which, correct me if I'm wrong, DID NOT HAPPEN!!!! 7. Considering I technically didn't LOOSE any fish on the DS, You can't use my Bill Dance Drop shot Hook set against me!!!! 8. Suck it!!! j/k oh yea... regarding the net skills, at least I caught fish worth testing your so called "well honed" netting skills. One of which you goofed up on!!! I'm pretty sure I never had to lift the net for any of your toads ;D. All in good fun my friend. Well worth it. Had a blast!!!!! PAUL: The weather is getting pretty cold. Water was low 50's and the air temp was probably as cold, if not colder than the water. We had a cold front moving in
