Just do what I do Dave, 3 deep cycles and use one of the 3 to crank. I have never had an issue with it even on the windiest and worst days on Wordens and Watchaug. And guys it is not overkill, a lot of guys do it around here. We have some 400 acre lakes that are trolling motor only (only 7 lakes in the state you can use a motor over 9.9hp) and since they are all big bowls with no where to get out of the wind and down by the ocean, the seabreeze can be really chop it up. It's nice to know you can always get back to the ramp.

Have a lot of super clear water up here and I use to use Picasso Jigs which have a fairly weak rattle that snaps off rather easy. I would be catching fish, then all of a sudden, not even a tap. Then I would look and see the rattle had busted off, would put on another, then I would just start catching fish. So I just always go with rattles. I have gone over to Terminator Pro Top Secret jigs, they have the band with two rattle chambers so you never have an issue putting on trailers or have a rattle chamber sliding down.

I change out mine every month or so. Unless I'm fishing really rocky conditions and it is getting scuffed up and grinded down on rocks non-stop.

Yup here you can generally find them on beds as soon as the water gets into the 50's. But our lakes are so small the whole "northwest area" goes out the window. Instead they will go to the areas that are protecting by brutal April northern winds. (Except on Lake X). To give you an example, on Johnsons Pond the first spawners are always in the pockets of the southern portion of the lake. Watchaug is generally the same way because of the rivers.

A younger defense for the future is needed more than anything else. The Pats do need a second reciever though because Welker is the slot man. They started talking to Joey Galloway yesterday. I don't think Robert Craft or Bellicheck would deal with T.O.'s bs for a second though.

Like 5BL said it will be great or awful... I would concentrate on the shallows (points specifically)because if you are going to whack them, thats where it will happen imo. You will find fish roaming in small groups in the shallows in search of warm and food.

As long as its a legal fish I see nothing wrong with keeping and eating it if thats what the person chooses to do Me either, if your pregnant wife is craving bass and pestering you to catch one for her, or if the economy has left you homeless and starving. I see no problem with catching and eating a fish in one of the spawn phases...

Pick one up then look at the price tag and you will forget all about the color... The only two issues I have are the hook-hangers on the spinning rods and the guides do not seem too durable. But I havent had an issue with them yet. Best $150 I have ever spent on anything fishing related...

I will be messing around with JJ's this year but until then... I have found no real difference, I think the brand and type plastic are more important than anything else. Until someone is fishing behind me with the same bait and catching tons of fish I missed, and just so happens to have a scent on their bait, I will keep it simple....

So.... If you sight fish for guarding males you should not practice catch and release with other fish because you're putting fish back into the water that will eat fry that are unguarded because you caught the males guarding them.... ;D
