  1. Had a great time despite the smallies not wanting to come in the boat. Drew a guide that does great on the lake, usually..... ;D Weighed in one fish and fell back to 16th or so. Our boat only had 4 fish all day so I don't feel too bad. Made the best of it and that was about all I could do. Still a great trip.
  2. Well I don't need the Under Armor this morning it's a nice warm 45. But some heavy fog. They won't extend the last day so we might only get 7 hours in at most. Fishing is pretty tough up here and a two and a half pound fish is gold. I had one yesterday with a couple 1.5 - 1.75's I had a total of 6 keepers and so did my boater. Last year you could have 60 or 80 fish days up here. But the largemouth are no where to be found and it is all about the smallie bite. The water is 6-7 feet low and is dropping 6" a day too.
  3. It's cold, 2-3 hour fog delays, and it's all a matter of the draw now. Hopefully I get lucky.
  4. Sounds like we need to take a trip to the Park. 8-)
  5. I got Nicky No-Neck and Elma the Fudd on the way down there right now. Consider the situation dealt with.
  6. Good thing you didn't leave, should add another couple hours to that. Leaving for Great Sacandaga for the Weekend Series Regionals in a few hours. I usually get bored on the Mass Pike so keep your phone on.
  7. Twisted minds must think alike because even though I didn't get to see the post I kind of figured it out and it was on the tip of my tongue. ;D
  8. Well I don't exactly have secret baits but I have baits that work very well on specific bodies of water. One is just a finesse worm with a piece of nail in it wacky rigged on one high-pressured body of water around here. I usually do a lot of damge with it there and it can fill a well really quick. After one tourney last year on this lake last year where it was a tough bite but I finished second on the little worm and most of he 30 guys had under 2 pounds, I had a guy who I was familiar with come over to my boat and we started talking. And I specifically remember this: I had left the worm on one of my spinning rods rigged up and he pulled the worm off and began examining it as we were talking. Well I'm prefishing for this tourney last weekend and guess who I see throwing that little finesse worm?
  9. Simcoe is where the BASS Divisionals are next year and they are saying it will take 28-30 a day. And 20 pounds a day won't do much for you. Just have to wait and see.
  10. In a tourney on Champlain about a month ago the day before one mine it a guy had 5 smallies for 27 change. That is the heaviest I have heard of.

Time to come to Smith Mountain. The dogs name is Tennessee (The Gator Getter) a Boston Terrier. Looks like we got us a sow here, instead of a boar....I bet you can squeal like a pig! After our pow-wow on SML we can go on a white water rafting trip.
  12. In a tourney last week a buddy of mine went to go scoop fish out of his livewell. He saw what he figured to be a craw in the tank and went to pick it up to show his daughter. Surprise surprise! It was a half digested mouse a fish had puked up in the well. I saw him start dry-heaving from my boat, was pretty gross. Must have come out of a dock or retaining wall and fell in the water. :-/
  13. Classic, just about died when I saw the signature at the end. ;D
  14. Then who looks like the .? It's going to happen. You need to learn to deal with it or buy a boat. If I'm in the front of the boat and I'm fishing for 5k and your in the back going for a grand I'm going to do the same thing. Worry about myself, and so would anyone else in that situation. Until I got my limit anyway. Not everybody is going to do that. You might, but not everybody. I know a lot of pro's even that are fishing for more than 5k and still keep the coangler in mind. Well than I guess they are just better people than I'am.
  15. There is a huge launch in Inner Mallets free of charge. Think it is a state ramp, we have held 80 boat tournies out of there. I would recommend Apple Tree just north of Sandbar if you plain on running through the Inland Sea or to the NY side, easier to go through the gut.
  16. Spend the extra money and go with the Trilene 100%.
  17. Listen to him, smart fella right there. Got to love that Terminator jig, the trailer hanger is my favorite part. You can keep them nice and compact without always having to fix the trailer.

Nice job. Jimzee make you fall in love with a white/red chatterbait? And when did you become a proud member of Mountainqueer nation?

I cannot believe it is only 6-0.

I'm really enjoying this lack of offense they are having this year. The Vikings are just shutting them down right now. ;D
  21. You got to stop posting pics of your dad, it is really starting to creep me out.
  22. Yes, it's taken a lot of $$$ on Champlain the past couple weeks. Now remove post before others find out.
  23. If you're talking to the baseball genius, the Astros played (and lost) in the World Series in 2005. The only NL team to never make the WS is the Washington Nationals/Montreal Expos. Smart _____ ;D :
  24. Glad to hear she is getting out.
  25. Champlain as well, you can find cookie cutters that all go in the low fours. If you find one that size up there, there are usually tons more in that area if you are in open water. They redefine the term bunch up, you can be bringing a 4 pound smallie to the boat and have 5-10 coming with it. There are also some 1,000-5,000 acre lakes that you guys never hear of that can kick out fish like that in those numbers in New England.
