I must be a relative of Pinnochio. My brother in law and myself caught over 60 smallies each about three years ago on Erie. 40 or more each bested 4lbs with many over 5 and a couple 6s . It wasn't in a tourney just an entire sun up to sundown fishing trip. Cool, we're related.

I really don't know if we need this up here. I noticed your from NY and I'm from New England and it seems like it doesn't get hot enough around here to fry the fish in our live wells.. If I have some deep water smallies and it is warm out I just throw some ice in and they are fine. :-/

I really think the spring we had screwed up the fish real good. It took forever for them to spawn because Monday through Thursday would be highs in the mid 70's and somewhat warm nights, then the weekend would come and it would be a cold 50 degree rain and nights would be in the upper 30's low 40's. This went on for a while and it screwed up the spawn. Since then I have noticed that a lot of the clear water fisheries have either been on fire and it takes a big bag to win or they are shut down and it takes 4 pounds to win. Don't know why but just something I have noticed. Stafford and Amos are examples of this. Where as the stained water fisheries have been consistant as always. So who knows, it's New England.

So when will we be having a night-time swimbait Tourney for Snakeheads??? ;D

It has just been free-falling around here for the past couple weeks. Almost everyday it is going down by a penny or two. Two gas stations in my town are at $3.37

I was at the 05 Classic in Pittsburgh and loved that one and the FLW puts on a great show so I hope to get down to this one Anyone in the area should get on over to this.

Then who looks like the a-hole? It's going to happen. You need to learn to deal with it or buy a boat. If I'm in the front of the boat and I'm fishing for 5k and your in the back going for a grand I'm going to do the same thing. Worry about myself, and so would anyone else in that situation. Until I got my limit anyway.

Sportcenter made them look like the Bad News Bears this morning. It was like 2 minutes of bloopers.

They weren't schooled up, random middle of no-where fish. And they were not really reaction bites, the tube was on the bottom for a little while.

I'm thinking of trying Bug Spray next time. Just for schlits and giggles.

I'm really beginning to think we over-think a lot of we do on the water. Keeping it simple is the way to go. Except every now and then when you get dialed in.

We are looking for smallies on the graph last week. See one, drop the tubes down, nothing. So one of my buddies whips out Megastrike, the other to be an ___ loads up his with some Bullfrog SPF 40. Mind you both have the same line, same colored tube and the same size weight. They drop at the same time and of course, SPF 40 takes it. So then we cut them off, tie new ones on, this time we try Smelly Jelly. Look around for one, find one, they switch rods, drop the tubes down. And SPF 40 takes it again. So now I'm like ok watch this. Get out the JJ's. Do the whole process again. And it broke my heart when that smallie chose the SPF 40. So just forget about scents, all you need is sun screen.

Ok so they will be getting rid of Federation Nation spots at the Classic next?
