After seeing all the reviews on it and not seeing any real complants I'm definatley going to have to give the Berkley 100% a shot next year. It almost seems too good to be true though :

I have not used the Sizmic yet but I have used the Ribbits, Cane Toads, Buzz Frogs, and Horny Toads. If the frog is on top being reeled in and making a disturbance the bass will find it and destory it. So imo a soft plastic frog is a soft plastic frog is a soft plastic frog. Hook up ratios were all about the same too.

iI did it up on Champlain, when we had come across some smallies holding on a deep flat. I had heard of it and instead of tying up a drop shot or try to fish a spinnerbait that deep I tried it. I already had the c-rig tied up so I just put on the crank at the end of it. I found when reeling in the crank along with the strike that usually hooks the fish. Not much of a need for a hookset. As for slack line, I dont know because Smallies like it reeled as fast as humanly possible. Never changed the hooks either.

No matter what I think we will have one of the better more exciting weekends of football in recent memory. There are some great match-ups. Dallas will loose because of the "Curse of Jessica Simpson" so it will be the Pac from the NFC. The winner of the Jags/Pats game will be the winner of the SuperBowl though.

LOL, you guys are all spoiled. I think the only way to get to a boat ramp in RI or CT is to drive down a long, bumpy, washed out, pot hole filled road. When I see a nice paved road leading to a boat ramp, I dont know what to do, it is such a smooth ride.

Clear chug bugs and spooks

After looking back after all the days I fished, all the fish I caught, the tournaments, and everything else fishing related I did. I still think the best two things of 2007 for me was the C.A.S.T. for Kids event down at the Hatchery and the Paralized Veterans Tournament in September. These events really make you look at things differently and you remember every little think that happened. Even though we can only fish about 8 or 9 months out of the year I fished about 200 days this year. I dont even remember a lot of those trips or how many fish I caught. But the CAST and PVA event I remember every thing like it was yesterday. Every conversation, laugh, fish, and the feelings I had. These 2 events were the highlights of my year.

School, Bass Resource, as you said organize the tackle, pour plastics, and make jigs.

Darn, have you seen any with a flat area near the eye so you could put a Yamamoto internal tube weight on it? I have not messed around or seen the bigger models so I'm not sure if I could make it work.

Also, must be nice catching fish burning an in-line spinner in, and catching fish on it up here in January. Definatley try that Saturday at you know where. Especially under the bridge.

Not they are not circles. You still use the same hookset you normally do but are just as fish friendly as circles and the fish are always hooked in the roof. I used circles and didnt like them so I tried these on advice from a friend and fell in love with them.

Just a question... I remember Hawg Caller posting about in a study bass ate baits that had gasoline poured on them, but does the scent of a marker or sharpie give off a bad scent that could turn fish away? Anyone out there do this to their braid and have it impact fish catches? I know I know, I'm probably thinking too much as usual. :

Towards the end of last year I fished a lot with 2/0-4/0 Octopus hooks and realized some great things with them. I never ever gut hooked fish (including smallies) and EVERY time the hook was buried perfect in the top of the mouth. When I set a hook on a fish it never came unbuttoned on me, and I probably caught 80-90 fish on them in the litte period of time I used them. Are they usually this good or was it a fluke? Like I said, every fish was hooked perfectly and didn't loose one. Also any one know of jig heads for tubes? The smallies up here have a tendencey of swallowing tubes and dying shortly after.

Is the FLW Junior Championship better than B.A.S.S.'s? Yes I have competed in both and FLW's show is much better than B.A.S.S.'s. The kids and their families are stay for the entire Forrest L. Wood Cup, they offer travel assistance, and they acctually make it for the kids. They through lots of party's before and afterwards, instead of a night before dinner which they also do. As many parents have said, they make the kids feel special, all are called on stage during the final say weigh in of the FLW Cup, and the winners from each age group weigh-in during the final day of the FLW Cup. And as far as the tournament goes, it is a qualifying day, then a Super-6 type day for day 2. Which I along with many others who have fished it liked much more than B.A.S.S.'s.
