Exactly my thoughts, if you catch a bass off a bed, and release it around the area, it will find its way back. Thats why after a tourney in the spawn, I will return fish to the general area I caught them in a few hours earlier. Just wish more people would instead of dumping them at the ramp. But even then, who knows.

Thanks Mr.Caller, like I said, it really doesnt need to be smaller, it just needs A SLOWER FALL. You dont need a bitsy flip or anything like that, you can use a full size 1/4oz and it will do the trick. And I messed around a lot more this year with different jig weights and fall ratios, and it seemed like they fish would always hit a 1/4 oz. Might just have that perfect fall rate :-? And it is definatley the best choice for h2o under 60* imo. Unless you are fishing deep.

I know smallies will always go back to the bed, and you can catch them over and over and over. Just curious about the matter with largies. I have my own thoughts but just curious to what you guys thought or if there is a real answer.

Had a Junior Club meeting today and the issue of tourneys during the spawn between me and a few others came up. If you take a prespawn female off a bed will she still spawn? And if you take a prespawn female out of a general area and release her in a different will she still spawn? I know certain states close bass season when the fish are spawning, is there a certain reason? Thanks, Mike Jr.

I like to analyze a book, find symbolism, political stuff at the time the book was written, and other little things that are in there. My personal favorite for this is "All Quiet on the Western Front". TONS of symbolism and little messages tucked in. Like Kemmerick's boot's, and the price of a life and the horrors of war. Amazing book. Also things Shakespeares' MacBeth and Caesar and great for doing this with.

Happened to me last week, going to buy my christmas gift exchange for Matt, I came across some more sexy shad strike king red eye's, so guess what, bought everyone they had.

I have used $300 Lomis's, St. Croix Avids and Legends, Kistlers, Airrus's and a lot of high end rods. And at $150 the e21 Carrot Stick blow away everyone of them. Not only the best bang for your buck rod out there but more than that imo. I have never used a better rod. I wasn't too sure at first but when I used it, it was just amazing. I'm sure Matt 5.0 will say the same thing. If you buy one, it will be the only rod you ever use again, if you don't like it, I'm always looking to buy another one.

I did the same thing this time last year. I had put on more than the "Freshman 15" and got up to 256. I watched my carbs, took in a lot of protein and started drinking a lot of h2o. Once a week I might spoil myself and have a not so good meal. Now 350 days later, I'm 196.8. No matter what stick to it and don't say I will start tomorrow or the next day, just do it. Good luck.
