  1. They like to scream after a while, save another $40 and go with a Revo S. You will love it.
  2. Smith Mountain Lake this past spring. Shaky head worm. I was there, pretty much the only thing that worked all week long. Don't forget the 12 or 13 pound fish he got out of Lewisville in the Elite 50's a few years back on the shakey head.
  3. Yup, can't wait to play there.
  4. x2 I don't know how my Abu Torno's still work. They don't even make noises. The only thing I'am picky about is my plastics. They are stored nice, STRAIGHT, and dry in moms expensive Tuppaware containers.
  5. Nice fall fish. The jig bite is always the best this time of year imo. (I'm 21 in 3 weeks, almost time we all meet up at Foxwoods lol)
  6. I do not understand the idea of you have to fish slow to catch big bass. That's like saying you have to fish the middle of the lake in my book. Some of my biggest fish (7+) have been caught burning traps and spinnerbaits through the same area numerous times. If you know bigger fish are in an area you don't need to run and gun. As Rick Clunn once said, "Never leave them to find them." If you have a milk run consisting of certain types of cover or structure that you can pull up to, make a cast, catch a good sized fish, then that is a different story. There are two views on fishing fast for big fish in my opinion. The first, being what you said, cover enough water and eventually you will hit one on the head. The second is that these are older creatures that have become accustomed to the traditional lure presentations. If you pause a bait for a couple seconds or more, you are allowing to get a good look at it. If you are burning the bait and it goes right by the fish, chances are it won't think twice, thus getting a true reaction strike or possible spooking it.
  7. Some children never grow up , they just get taller. Guess the favoritism is being shown to BASS FISHERMEN who are here to learn about BASS FISHING. : We are all pro's here with nothing to learn. :
  8. Yup, if it feels different, heavier, or your line starts moving, just set it. You might be setting on something such as your jig coming through cover but on those days when they are on a light bite you will still get put them in the boat.
  9. The Skins lost to KC and the Eagles lost to the Raiders last week. So both teams really need to win. The Skins because everyone hates Zorn and the Eagles because McNabb's head will be wanted if they go down this week. Especially will Kolb and Vick waiting on the sidelines. It is a must win for both teams, but I won' be watching it. I think I'm going to paint my room and watch it dry while getting a buzz from the fumes.
  10. If it is windy, keep power fishing, if not, go to the little baits but fish them fast. For example allow the tube, shakey, or drop-shot to land and be worked a few feet before reeling it in.
  11. What color senko should I throw?
  12. Yeah right.... What would you know about cold or snow?? We had ski areas open last week, it sucks. I recommended the Redwing's because they keep you warm and dont kill your back while on a boat.
  13. hahahaha figured this would happen. but this one really isn't that great of a video anyway... just thought it was kinda interesting. Pot will do that to you.
  14. I remember when beer pong was cool. Get over high school Cody. (I went 7 and 0 at a family function with my gf's grandmother. See insisted on only drinking White Zinfandel.)
  15. Most of those sorts of ponds I know are out on the Cape. Try jerkbaits along shorelines if the wind is pounding them and small spider grubs on 3/8 oz footballs or arkies depending on cover and work them down the points or around sharp break lines.
  16. Ask RW for knot help..
  17. It's mostly about a retrieve with a buzzbait, you can usually always get them if you are burning it until the blades fall off or super slow with a Cavitron. Sometimes the Cavitron will get them, sometimes the super fast way will.
  18. Any escort services near Mechanicsville we can all chip in for?
  19. Redwing's without a big heel with Carhart or Under Armour socks.
  20. I would definatley recommend gear you use or have used and would suit beginers well. Be honest, don't bs, and don't plug anything, it will make you a reliable source and people have trust in you.
  21. Craig Anderson is on fire between the pipes for the Av's. So that is an easy pick. As for the other, it's a coin toss.
  22. After spearing them just simply hold the spear. Thumb in mouth, with my index finger pinching the bottom side of the mouth.
  23. They work great up near you, specifically Sacandaga. Got me a few decent 10 pound bags out of there late last September on super shallow jetties and rockpiles in less than 3' of water.
  24. You never want to cast overhead because when the rod is straight up there is no tension on the lure and momentum moving the spool forward thus creating a backlash. Sometimes the cast will get the backlash out, sometimes it won't.
