  1. Go handle and mess with both or you might regret it. You will most likely go with the Abu though.
  2. The only person I know who can pack rods to the point of being unbreakable is 5BL. The few he sent me have taken hours to get apart. Ask him how he does it.
  3. Tin replied to Koop's topic in Tournament Talk
Home water tournies can be your best friend or a horrible experience. There is nothing more frustrating than struggling in a tournament at home.
  4. Awesome job. I had the chance to fish in three JWC's and they were great memories and great times. I still remember every little thing and I'm sure you will too. Congrats on catching fish too. My best friend fished for RI in the Nationals and it was brutal down there. He caust 3 fish in a week of practice.
  5. I have had new Loomis rods break in Bazooka tubes that were all packed up tight in newspaper and bubble wrap on flights. Tips and rods always break, they are getting stuff pilled on top of them and heavier things crashing into them. I don't get the shock of the fact that you had older more fragile rods break while shipping them. While shipping them through a company that is known for having it's parcels damaged. Just do a search on here or other websites. It happens. When I left UPS a few months ago they were starting to really cut down the delivery and shipping of damaged parcels. So even they knew they had a problem. I would be ticked off more about the guy denying my claim and have to threaten them to get my way. But do a search and get some info before putting your trust in a company.
  6. Can't see how this even comes close to mattering. : : As things get older, they have then tendency to break. And I know this is not the first thread about UPS breaking rods in "unbreakable" tubes. Sad to say, but it should have been expected.
  7. I thought driving a half hour to Providence was bad, guess not.
  8. I truly hate Wal-Mart.
  9. The first 3 or 4 years they made the FICHT Motors they were awful.
  10. In Connecticut they have slots but they are not in effect during tournaments and only if you want to take the fish home. I don't see a point in having a slot limit in tournaments when you generally have 95-100% of the fish are released alive.
  11. Hope you don't have that sort of stuff on your IPhone. ;D

x2 Not only educational but you hear and see worse if you ride the bus to school.
  13. You would be amazed what we ship and how easy things can break, I remember 140 pound drums and safes in the trucks I would load so it is very easy to see how they are broken. On the other hand, they are 15-20 year old rods. :

    Whoops, yup.

true, but they dont have 26 of them and neither do any of the current Yankees.. that just doesnt make any sense :-? Mendoza, Jeter, Pettite, and Posada are the only Yankees who have rings with them. Fact is in this millennium... Red Sox = 2 rings Yankees = 0 Rings
  16. Simple , stay in school , learn marketing. And how to type, spell, use punctuation, and how to communicate with others without making yourself look like a dumb___.

I like it, no real big issues or differnces.
  18. Nothing better than when you feel less pressure and wobble because a fish is drafting the bait.
  19. The shaky head will get you some bites on Smith Mtn, no doubt about it. A lot of those fish were also bed fish.
  20. You can also get 360* of rotation out of trebles by adding another split-ring to the one already on the bait inbetween the hook. = Less lost fish
  21. Tin replied to Kowen117's topic in Fishing Tackle
I really like them, you will loose a lot less fish than trebles. I just wonder it the hook will grab water and make it run like crap at higher speeds.
  22. x2 If it works for you who cares. I would prefer a longer and heavier frog and c-rig rod but they can do the trick.
  23. They are constructed better, (guides and blank) but I cannot justify spending money for the rod with others on the market. Now the Steez spinning reel is another story.
  24. I think most kids these days go through that 7-11 age gap where they love it. My little brothers and his fellow goons love it. I remember I loved Stone Cold and HBK back in the day. You better hope Burley doesn't see this thread. ;D
