Only $8? Yeah, a poor guy wouldn't want to spend that on, say, FOOD, would he? :

Apparently yet another JDM Revo
Let's see what Google says it says: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.purefishing.jp/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.purefishing.jp%26hl%3Den Click on Abu Garcia, then Baitcasters, then the Elite Black. You'll get the translated page. It's essentially a JDM Revo Premier with a few more bearings and a centrifugal brake. And meat without limit!

Great Googily Moogily: REVO Bling!
You posted at 2:19 AM. That's pretty much "yesterday" for most people. Therefore, it's tomorrow. Now, Robert, let's see some of that REVO porn!

Spare Spool for a Pro Max
Why not Abu Garcia? Just order the complete spool assembly, and not just the spool itself.

Abu Garcia 911 commemorative reels
Man, no need to get so upset. These reels are just a one of hundreds of commemorative this or that that's out there. Part of the money initially paid for this stuff usually goes to charity. I don't see anything wrong with it. If a silly fishing reel helps someone remember that day, good for it.

Huge sale on Avids at BPS
I'm sure it is. A $.01 discount? Their software if probably programmed to list things on sale when it detects a lower price. Still funny, though.

Great Googily Moogily: REVO Bling!
Daiwa handles fit Abus, according to Japan Tackle. Abu Handles Maybe there is something there that fills your bill. I don't see the Revo specific stuff, like spools, on Japan Tackle, yet.

Abu Garcia Record Round B/C reels
They cast light baits better than any Revo I own, and the brake works a lot better, too. Abu doesn't call them Morrums, but I've seen that name bandied about when referring to them. They may not be Morrums, butt hey are fantastic reels in their own right.

Interesting addition to Abu Garcia's website
Did you order them from Abu? I'm gonna call and see if they have any slower gears for my EXT Pro reels.

What is your kind of music?

You're only the victim 'cuz you started the thread, and your pictures are big enough to mess with. And because I wouldn't touch Muddy's butt with a ten foot pole. ;D- Those zebra mussels are becoming a real problem -
Fortunately, we don't have a huge Zebra Mussel problem in Virginia, yet. But Virginia and Maryland biologists have found that Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs eat them like candy. So, if they get loose here, at least there is an upside.- Abu Garcia Record Round B/C reels
I don't use the Records, but have several other traditional Ambassadeurs. Tried the Records, though. It's the top-end reel in their venerable Ultracast line. It has 6 bearings: 2 bearings in the spool, 2 in the level wind, 1 at the shaft end on the brake side, and 1 anti-reverse bearing. It has an upgraded brake over older ultracast Ambassadeurs. Cons: Heavy Somewhat dated design Non-disengaging level wind Pro: Rock solid super tough last forever never obsolete Abu goodness Extremely smooth Great caster If you want a more modern round reel, Abu's EXT and EXT Pros are awesome reels.- Interesting addition to Abu Garcia's website
BTW, I know linking to other forums is a no-no, but this is not a competing forum and is a saltwater site. And this thread on an Inshore rebuild may interest you: Inshore Rebuild Mods delete if this goes over the top.- Interesting addition to Abu Garcia's website
I'm not sure there are any Revo-specific upgrades available, yet. The reel has only been out for a years or so. But I understand that Daiwa handles will fit the Revo. Maybe you can confirm if your Bassart handles for a Daiwa will fit the Revo. Other than that, there may be bearing upgrades avalable. I'm not sure of, and have never checked, the bearing sizes. But there are a plethora of ABEC 5, 7 and ceramic bearings available for other Abu reels. Some of these may be interchangable with Revo bearings.- Interesting addition to Abu Garcia's website
I don't think I'll bother. Looking at pictures of gears in a Revo and a Record rebuild, they look like they are different diameters.- Interesting addition to Abu Garcia's website
Cool. I'm not going to order any. I'm just wondering if they are going to release a 5.2:1 Revo. If they are making gears, then I'd say its a good possibility. Out of curiosity, I wonder if these gears would fit the Revo. Abu Gear Set I'll have to compare the gears on one of my C4s to one of my Revos.- Interesting addition to Abu Garcia's website
Oooooooohhhhh...details please Yes, details please. I'd heard they would be offering a 5.2:1 gear set for the Revos. I didn't know it was already available.- Interesting addition to Abu Garcia's website
Look at Abu's home page and you'll see a big icon for that section that hasn't been there before. I go to that site frequently and I've just seen it. That section has pictures of their Revo and Cardinal 800 which have only been out for a year.- Do kids really look like thes on the east coast? Guidos?
But it was OK when we looked goofy. - Post an embarrasing picture of yourself!
