I need a break (warning, vent)
Have you considered an ugly chick? They usually don't cheat on you, and if they leave you, so what. Seriously, though. Don't try too hard. A good relationship is worth effort, but not just yours. If you're the only one putting anything into it, probably time to move on.

Interesting addition to Abu Garcia's website
http://www.abugarcia.com/service.php#REELREPAIR Scroll through it. Some useful information. Seems Abu is going to start offering factory custom reels and performing/tuning pars. (But not yet)

The HOT new plastic of 2008! Baby Turtles
Everyone knows bass love 'em! Here's what the scientists say about bass and baby turtles (sorta dry, but you'll get the gist after a few lines)... Bass and baby Turtles A bait that bass might actually go out of their way to avoid. Gotta get me some!

Photoshop... HELP!!!
A free download of 'what' for Photoshop? If you are looking fro a free copy of Photoshop, Photoshop CS3 is a $650 piece of software that, even if you found it, you would have to activate through Adobe, which isn't easy if your copy is pirated. So are many of their plug-ins. You can download GIMP, which is open-source and fee, and which is just as good for virtually everything that Photoshop CS3 can do. www.gimp.org

Lobina Rico
Is it still a steal if it costs $20 and it doesn't perform any better than a $5 Storm? (which I've never lost, either) I can understand why people pay $$$ for Lucky Craft, since they generally do perform better than average baits. But in my experience, Ricos don't. So I don't know what justifies $20. It's a decent topwater, don't get me wrong. It would be a good deal at $5. But $20??

Bionic or Citori Rod ?????????
Before the '08 Brownings came out, I would have recommended the Citori. I've got an older (pre-'08) 45M modulus Citori spinning rod with alconite guides and it is a very good rod. I've also got a Bionic Blade about the same age, also very good. The Bionic Blade has Aluminum oxide guides. I prefer the Citori. It seems to be finished better and has nicer guides. Now, the '08 Citori has aluminum oxide guides. So now it's a toss up. But I still like the way the Citori looks. And it's a very sensitive and tough rod. 7'6" flipping rods are pretty standard. 7'6" Bionic Blade comes in 2 powers, medium heavy and heavy, both fast action. The MH/F would be suitable for frogs, an the H/F would be suitable for flipping. The only 7'6' Citori is a Heavy, with Extra Fast action. It would be suit able for flipping. If I had to choose from these rods, I'd choose the H/XF Citori for flipping, and the MH/F Bionic Blade for frogs.

Lobina Rico
Yes, I have. It's decent popper but IMO no way is it worth anywhere near it's $20 price tag. I have some BPS XPS poppers that work just as well. My Storm Chug Bugs work better.

When using braid, aren't you supposed to compensate by loosening the drag?

Like LBH said - Easy. More than enough room. I have an older system with less space than that and I've run GIMP, Photoshop and Paintshop Pro all at once.

Avid, one of the best and most comprehensive image manipultation programs available happens to be free. It's called GIMP and it is as capable as Photoshop. In fact, I've taken Photoshop 7.0 off my system and installed GIMP. Gimps does everything Photoshop does. I would download it, and use it. If you don't like it, you can uninstall it and you've lost nothing. If you like it, you may have saved several hunded dollars. Browse the GIMP website. I think you'll be impressed. You will not find an image manipulation program as capable as GIMP for less than $650. It's every bit as capable as Photoshop CS3. And it's easier to use. http://www.gimp.org/ Here is a review: http://www.softpedia.com/reviews/linux/GIMP-Review-17619.shtml

Green Top Reduced Items
There is some relationship between Green Top and the old Thalhimers department store chain. The owner of Green Top had his hands heavily in Thalhimers, possibly being an owner. I was told this story by Green Top manager, but I can't remember how it went. I do know that Green Tops owns the building they are in and may be building a new store in another location nearby.

Good Pickerel specific baits
Mepps spinners. Without a doubt the best pickerel bait ever. I've caught more pickerel on a #3 Aglia or white dressed Black Fury than all my other baits combined. And the best part is, pickerel never wear them out. I've caught the vast majority of my pickerel on moderate speed STEADY retrieves. Rapala's X-Rap has caught me a load of pickerel, too. I tend to catch them on a moderate speed steady retrieve as well.

Virginia Man shattersstriped bass record
Just a little over 5 lbs to go for the world record. It's in the Chesapeake Bay somewhere, I'm convinced of it!

Spring gobbler season
I hunted turkeys for many years in Virginia, and got good at getting birds on public land - no easy trick. I haven't hunted them in 5 years or more. I have +/- 2 dozen calls in storage. I used to like a high-pitched glass slate as a locator call. Every nimrod on the woods was blowing an owl or crow call. The birds never answered. A sudden yelp on a really high pitched glass would wake them every time. I like fishing better than turkey hunting. Great fishing and spring turkey overlap, and I'd rather be fishing. So I doubt I'll do it anymore. Only got time for one real passion.
