  1. I agree, what a tough place to fish yesterday, I also believe it was due to the rain and the cold front that passed through. Like Jay stated I caught one LMB 1lb 9oz on a pumkinseed senko swimworm back in the dike. I had hooked into something earlier that morning that fought me pretty good, it looked like my pole was ready to snap, then the fish split the Booyah boogie bait out at me, It must have been good size judging by the fight it put up.
  2. I fish with my son and his wife most of the time and I am always happy if they do better than me. When they are not available I take out some other members of this forum and fish with them. There are a lot of good guys and gals to fish with here in Northern Virginia.
  3. No rain is in sight until November 4th and 5th.
  4. Good job Jay, I may have to hit that pnd one of these days and see if I can catch some LMBs.
  5. I have only caught one fish on these, an 8.5lb long-nosed gar. He hit it on a slow but steady retreive. I have not tried letting it sink to the bottom and may have to give that a shot. I have also had other long-nosed gar follow the boogie bait right to my boat on numerous occasions.

Red Sox sweep the Rockies in 4 games. Go Sox!!!
  7. The Redskins will get crushed Sunday, they are not going to be able to stop the Patriots passing game with their secorday in the shape that they are in. I predict the score to be 38-14 Patriots win. GO PATS!!!!!
  8. Welcome, nice looking LMBs.
  9. I also agree with the others that the LMB you claim is 5lbs looks to be a 2 to 2.5lb lmb at best.
  10. I am not speaking for everyone, I am just telling you to read the old threads and you will find a lot of people are disappointed in this product.
  11. Bass109 get a clue, you will not convince members that this is a good product. I agree that a lure is only as good as the person using it but I do make an exception for these snakes, they are not a good investment. I catch good size LMBs on almost every product I use except these snakes, they just do not work. Read all of the threads on the forum and you will find that almost everyone with the exception of you think these are a complete waste of money. Do you work for Natural Motion Lures since you are pushing this product so hard?
  12. I would say they will work in the fall and winter, but I prefer to use the swim senkos.
  13. I disagree, they don't catch fish!!! The material is sub-standard at best and the price is way to high. Having to keep these in a cooler is a major downfall in the design. The heat in virginia exceeds 100 degrees in the summer and even hotter on the water, this is not a good product to have out in that heat. I gave them an honest try multiple times and they don't work in Northern, VA or Maryland. I would rather spend $5 on a pack of 10 swim senkos that I know will catch nice size LMBs. But hey if they work for you more power to you. I will agree that the hooks are the best part of the kit.
  14. I bought the kit and in my opinion (just my opinion) the product is not worth the money. The first time you take them out on a hot day in your tackle box they begin to melt, they need to be kept in a cooler on ice if you are out on the water. I never caught anything with them and don't expect to as I am going to be sending mine back for a full refund.
  15. I really just got back into fishing late last spring after many years of not fishing. It feels great to be back in a grove going lmb fishing. I plan on fishing all year through the up coming winter and then back into the spring. I am hoping to keep my boat going as late into the year as possible. Once I winterize the boat I will fish from shore until I put my boat back in the water in the spring. I try to fish at least two or more times a week so long as the wife does make plans for us.
  16. I would say I am all of the above. I fish my go to spots when I am in a slump and I like like to fish all different locations rivers and or lakes and I will find the LMBs.
  17. Nice LMB in the first picture Jay. I am surprised you caught anything there with the water that low.

    Welcome to the forum.
  19. Great pictures Jay. That was a beautiful wedding and your mom and I had a great time celebrating this special day.
  20. Do you have to even ask? The Patriots are going run the table this year and become the greatest football team of all time. They are going to unseat the 72 Dolphins. Peyton and company are going down hard. GO PATS!!!!
  21. Nice fish, I never saw one of those before. How was the fight? It definately looks like it must have been fun to reel him in.
  22. Roadwarrior, Thanks I would really like that. I am thinkiing that I will be in Memphis around the March April time frame to visit with my daughter. She works at St Jude Childrens Research Hospital in one of the research labs (infectious diseases) as a research technician. I will PM you when the time gets close. Once again thanks for the invite. Ron
  23. Where do you recommend near Memphis, TN? I will be going there in the spring and want to start researching so I can catch some LMBs.
  24. I just look for schools of baitfish and watch the sonar on the boat for structure and fish. I am having no problems catching fish right now when I use the swim senkos once I find one the structure or bait fish.
  25. What great games Saturday and Sunday nights. J.D. Drew hit that sweet gland slam Saturday, not bad for a roookie. The Sox are on a roll and they aren't stopping until they win the World Series again. Go Sox!!!!!
