Didn't catch it, but three ducks were flying toward me and as they got closer two veered off. The other kept coming and hit the water three feet from my boat stone dead. I netted him and he was shot up pretty bad. I threw him in the cooler. Don't remember what I ever did with him.

I always use the manuel setting feature. Everytime I get on the water I will adjust it according to the type of water and depth I'm fishing. Situations will dictate that you must make the changes. You cannot expect the unit to set itself up for maxium viewing without some help. If I am fishing deep grass you can set it to read and define the single strands of grass under the boat. I always turn off the fish ID. It just robs the unit of power that can be used for other things. JMO.

Winterizing mine also. That means charging the batteries, respooling reels, discussions with the B Monkey, fueling up, and trying to decide where to go. Now through April is my favorite time to fish.

Walked in Bass Pro Shop today to just look around. Walked out with a new set of the 100 MPH bibs under my arm. Set me back $216.49. Wife took one look at them (I was holding my breath) and she said "Well your birthday is coming up, let that be your gift." Man, I just love my wife.
