  1. What the heck is this white stuff. My boat cover went from grey to white. 32* still light sleet and snow here in Houston.
  2. If it gives you the confidence you need you need to be throwing it. I too have seen it make a big difference.
  3. I was fishing a team tournament back in the early 90s and it was cold. About 9:30 I went in. Got back in the boat, had no extra clothes, so I started peeling them off to get dry. Two boats close and thankfully one was a team boat of ours so I started borrowing pieces to put on. I am standing in the front with nothing but a towel drying off. There was another boat with two anglers all bundled up, about 40 yds away and I asked them if they had any that would fit me. They didn't, it was a team boat from one of the women's clubs that were entered in our tournament. Naturally they were weighing in 30 minutes ahead of us so everyone at weighin allready knew the story when we arrived. Thankfully there were no cameras involved.

  9. It's cold in Houston today. A little ice but non sticking as it comes down. Supposed to be back in the 70s by Sunday. Tipical Houston weather.
  10. My wife takes me to BPS and Academy for Christmas. We have a limit set, I purchase, she pays, I wrap when we get home, and then I open it when it is time. Then we go to Macys for her.
  11. Good job guys. Now that's they way to head off an issue. Congratulations to the both of you.
  12. A wise choice. Not wearing it is asking for trouble.
  13. They love it when the water temp is in the 40s and you cannot crank it fast enough to keep them off it.
  14. I looked at it at BPS yesterday. A little pricey in my view. Split it up and you can save money, plus there were several items that I would probably never fish.
  15. I cast left handed and reel with the right.
  16. With the weather the way it has been that sounds like a very good day to me. Congratulations.
  17. I can see it now. A marshall and a pro in a fist fight on the front deck. When that marshall calls him out on bending a rule it will be on. I might pay the hundred to watch. Maybe we can get Ossama(If we can ever find him)to target espn. I would pay to watch that also. And while we are at it let's let him do the BCS too.
  18. There is nothing wrong with the Nitro posted. If it is safe, legal, and can sustain a limit of bass by each participant you are good to go. Make sure your insurance has the limits required and go for it. You will find out a lot more about how you stack up by going out and putting a couple of patterns together. Then you will have something to compare. Good luck
  19. You might want to hit a casino close by your home. If there is not one, buy a plane ticket.
  20. Thanks for sharing ...I think
  21. My wife could care less. I spent over 450.00 on a new goretex suit last month. Brought it home and dumped it on the dining room table. She said let that be your birthday present. Spent 88.00 at BPS today. She is out of town, but I told her when she called. She flies out on Monday and returns on Thursday. As long as I stay out of places I should not go, she is fine with me spending on fishing.
  22. If any of you get sick of the weather just let me know. I will be fishing Sam Rayburn at least 15 days in January and February prefishing for upcoming tournaments. All you need to do is cordinate with me and you will have a ride. Please do not insult me by trying to pay me for gas money. I will be there anyway. If you get here it is on me. I can help you arrange lodging close to the lake also. Jack
  23. War Games was one of my favorites. I catch it now and then on the tv.
