  1. Gerat post Catt. There are some good ones out from the mouth of Palo Gaucho. One thing, you left out the cordinates of your favorite ones. Thanks for posting.
  2. Welcome to the forum. Sorry, I cannot help you with that unit.
  3. brgbassmaster, PM sent. Good luck.
  4. Prayers sent. Hoping for a successful recovery.
  5. Mike , our club met tonight and the Fork trip tournament is still on. We should have 23-28 boats fishing. Daylight till 3:30 Saturday and Daylight-2:00 Sunday as far as I know. Will keep you updated as we get closer.
  6. Most auto parts stores stock the bearings and seals. you should change the races also. The races will need to be pressed out and in or with a brass punch. Do not use a steel punch as it will cause the race to swell creating a bad seat for the bearings and races. If you have never done it get someone to help you. If you do not know the correct way to pack the bearings with grease you will only ruin them. Get some one to help you the first time. It is an easy fix it you know the correct way to do it. Good luck Cal me at 281 224-8853 and I will give you the directions. Will take way to much space to try to explain it here.
  7. Nice job and good looking fish. Congratualtions!
  8. Sorry you did not catch her. Episodes like this makes the fires burn hotter. You are hooked for life and the story will be told over and over.
  9. I have had people I did not know actually jump in the boat as I was backing down or crawl into the truck while waiting in line. Most I had never seen, but it does not matter when the line is 30-40 boats long trying to launch. Everyone trys to help.
  10. I have used Trilene Big Game(Green) for years and have no issues with it.
  11. That is one of many concerns I have had over the years with them. I switched to Minn-kota 22 years ago and have never regretted it. Good luck, I hate it when the consumers get hosed by passing the buck between companies. As far as I am concerned your boat dealer should have taken the reins and resolved this issue to your satisfaction. Good luck.
  12. I would be very interested in the entire project (Start to finish) if you care to take the time to post.
  13. Mike, how are you going to read the road signs to Fork? Do I need to send you a DVD with directions? Glad you are back. I was creeping up on your post count.
  14. Welcome to the forum Enjoy.
  15. I should have this on speed type: YOU CANNOT FIX STUPID!
  16. I've never won anything either. Scared not to enter though.
  17. I would be very careful as to the size boat I bolted it to.
  18. Limits are set by the agencys. Any licensed fisherman catching fish in a lawful manner is allowed to keep a daily limit. Unless you are the state department head and have changed things you have no right to confront him the way you did. It is good for a lake to have fish taken from it to allow checks and balances. You were wrong for what you did.
  19. Welcome, Prayers sent for a speedy recovery.
  20. Welcome, Prayers sent for a speedy recovery.
  21. Mono every day that it is fished. Braid when I feel it needs it. Usually 4-6 trips. All reels with mono have backing, so I am not replacing a full spool each time.
  22. It would be entirely your call and what you are the most comfortable using.
  23. As far as stability or safty, I do not think it is a problem. The gelcoat has weakened and begun to seperate.. It will probably require that a trained body man sand and regelcoat the top. As fas a the boat coming apart, that is not going to happen. If the cracks show up at the top of the transom behind the splashwell then it would need to be addressed. The location is strickly a cosmetic feature that you might want to address in the future.
  24. Do not be afraid to ask someone at the ramp for help. Let them know you are a novice and ask them for some pointers. I personally know noone that would refuse to give you some pointers. In fact most would feel pleased to offer help to a newbi. They were all new at one time and any serious boater would help. you just might make a new friend in the process. I try to make it a point to offer help anytime I see someone that is having problems.
