  1. I have never heard of a license for a camera. You can pay to get on some south Texas leases to hunt with a camera at a reduced rate. Have a friend that approached several leasing agents to discuss the camera thing and talked the lease owners into letting him shoot(No pun intended) with a camera to verify the health and deer density on each lease so they could adjust their pricing according to deer density. He now has many leases he shoots for and has quit his fulltime job to verify the deer populations in many areas across the state. He is making four times the money he use to make.
  2. I would like to see all of them with numbers. Then we could set up a one mile oval out in the middle of the lake have them all a starting position(Draw), have them come around in order, throw the green flag, and have them all run for five laps to determine the actual starting positions. When they came around the fourth turn at the end of five laps they could peel off toward their fishing locations. That would increase the attendance at the morning starting times by ten fold.
  3. Both of our Skeeters are completely dry after a day of fishing. My son's is a 1988 Skeeter Starfire and unless he dumps water from the livewells there is none.
  4. When you drain the fuel tank you don't drain the needle and seats in the carbs. They are sticking and need to be cleaned and new gaskets installed. While your in the carbs go ahead and change the floats to allow you to run the 10% ethanol gas mixture. We ran some in my son's boat and had to rebuild all three. The older floats were not compatable with the new fuels out there. Changed them out and no problems since.
  5. Never noticed the problem. My boat is silver and my son's is white. Have heard this mentioned over the years, but never put any stock into it.
  6. Sounds like you might need to replace the fuel line with a primmer blub. I had the 150 Merc on my son's boat do the same thing last fall. We were running WOT for about a mile and it shut off just like you described. We got it in and replaced the fuel line and it has run perfect ever since. We also installed an inline fuel filter.
  7. Before you restock contact your county extension agent and get their advice on the correct stocking ratios and get the soil tested to determine of it needs to be treated before refilling.
  8. Welcome. Enjoy.
  9. Let him read your post and the responses. Then have a discussion with him.
  10. I'm up at 4:30 every morning. Been known to drive to the lake(Three hours) at 8:oopm and sleep in my truck so I can be on the water early. You are not crazy, just devoted. Nothing wrong there.
  11. Matt, I had it my senior year in HS. Remember being tired a lot. Good luck
  12. 24 Baitcasters most have not been used in a while 3 Spinning 1 flyrod I normally carry from 10-14 in the boat.
  13. I use the screw in type from the outside and have never had a problem with it.
  14. Push/Pull valve, drain plug for hole in bottom, and two outlets at the top of each to keep it from overflowing. It will still dump water over the top when you take off if they are full.
  15. I've been known to throw down a pillow and blanket during the night myself. Glad ya'll had a good time.
  16. Welcome Mercury Marine.
  17. Nighttime, early morning, late afternoon. Middays are for siestas.
  18. I fish to win. That causes me to go for it and I will make bad decisions that cause me to zero at times. When you run 10 miles to fish one brushtop, dock, hump, point, etc. and they are not there it can and will happen. Problems with a boat will cause it to. I have zeroed lots of times over the years, but I fish a lot more than the average angler.
  19. I fish the same places that I would during the day. If the moon is close to or full giving plenty of light I fish the same colors that I do at other times. The darker the night the larger and darker my lures. Example: Fished a night tournament and finished second last Saturday night and fished watermellon/red lizards, trick worms, and senkos all night long.
  20. Well, it shure is comforting to know I 'm not the only one that has gone through that. X2. Welcome to the forum
  21. Outstanding. Keep up the good work.
  22. Do not shut the fuel off and run the motor dry. turn the key off and forget about it. Use Staybil to treat your fuel and you should have no problems. If you run the fuel out of the carbs I would think it might cause a chance of drying gaskets. JMO
  23. *If the hole is not too large try mixing up J-B Weld(You can but it at an auto supply store) it should hold.
