  1. I leave the area.
  2. Just kick out the back door and start to flippin. Hope everyone is OK.
  3. No favorites. What ever suits the location and the time of year.
  4. All the best BassChump. The rear seat is always open for you.
  5. Stick your finger in ones mouth and you will know real quick. As well as destroying lots of good tackle.
  6. First Welcome to the forum. This is not a resume. It is an opinion.
  7. You are in the bottom of the river. Some things to help you: Read the manuel Take it off automatic Turn the fish ID off. Spend some time over a location you are sure of what's on the bottom Then read it to compare
  8. Could it be Wallmart is buying seconds or runs that do not pass muster to save money? Just a thought.
  9. My fishing has been about par. Dinks and more dinks. I mean 12" fish on 12" worms. That's bad.
  10. I have had tons of help over the years. Without it I know I would not be as successful as I have been.
  11. I do not purposely bed fish. I feel like I can have more success fishing the deeper water just outside the area. I know I am probably catching some fish on deeper beds I just donot target them. If I ever catch a fish that I can see on a bed it will be the first of my career.
  12. I have never done that. The closest was a guided 6 man raft on the Little Piegon River below Walters lake on the Tennessee North Carolina border. It was a lot of fun
  13. I tow with a 2003 Ford Sport-Trac. Is this the same frame we are discussing?
  14. I think it's cool, but what do I know, my wife says I'm ugly too.
  15. They are great boats. It will allow you to fish water you cannot reach from shore and a lot of water guys with larger boats could never get to. Enjoy it and good luck.
  16. You can do two things. Raise the motor and install a jack plate to move it away from the back of the boat. I do not reccommend it though as it will cost money and the chance it will increase speed is very margininal. Moving the motor 3" off the stern should help increase bow lift. Just enjoy what you have and go out on the water.
  17. I do not change much at night. I fish deeper water any way and the most changes are to lure size and always dark colors. I am not one to add rattles, I may slow down even more and fish larger diameter line.
  18. Nice job adapting. Just remember bass love grass and it can be very frustrating trying to fish it.
  19. Very nice fish. Congratulations
  20. River Channels Creek channels Grass along the above Humps Points leading to creek or river channels Grass flats Deeper water than most fish
  21. Watermellon/Red Camoflague PB & J (Peanut, Butter & Jelly) Green Pumpkin Cinnamon Christmas Tree
  22. Maybe the fish are telling you that they are not in the coves. If you fish each cove all you have done is reinforced the theory that that is not where they are that day. Maybe you should have started fishing the points instead or move out on the creek or river channels. Keep moving and trying different locations to pinpoint the location. When you do get bit try to imagine all of the other locations just like that and duplicate them. It makes no sense to keep fishing each cove with a crankbait all day if you have not been bit there.
  23. Depends on where you are fishing. Some lakes it seems they will try to rip the rod out of your hand and won't quit until you net them. Other lakes they seem to be sluggish(for lack of a better word), and do not put up nearly the fight. Brian_Reeves is right about the Falcon fish. They just seem to attack everything with lots of vigor. Some of the most vicious strikes I have ever had.
  24. That depends on where you placed them. I have a lot out on two lakes and several(not all) were producing within 24 hrs. Some I have never done well on, several though, will produce one or two just about every time you check them.
