  1. Great news. Where can we get the info on CAST?
  2. It will haunt you if you don't make it right. Hmmm, maybe not...The bait monkey will always know and get even with you ten fold...
  3. I burnout for the trip home after failing to put a game plan together. By the time I unhook I am ready to go at it again.
  4. I cannot believe someone voted it was a dolfin.
  5. I use an anchor to also help slow a drift across an area in high wind. I prefer it over a sock. Just use enough rope to keep it from bouncing. Angles are very important but Matt seemed to cover it well.
  6. Guess we learn something every day. I always heard it was caused from ice crystals in the atmosphere. Nice to know.
  7. Thanks, as soon as I can I will post the letters. They will get you in the door and then it is up to you to sell yourself.
  8. Okuma Inspira IS 20 or the Pflueger Supreme 8035 MG
  9. You are free to wear whatever you like. It will only become a problem after you enter into a binding contract. Why do you think all of the manufacturers sell the cheap shirts with their logo all over it. They recoup their cost and can write it all off as advertising.
  10. Congratulations LBH. I signed my contracts with a soap manufacturing company for a cash only deal for 2008. Let me know how your deal is working and I will keep you up on mine. Again good luck
  11. Although I cannot reveal yet. I signed the contracts for the 2008 season this morning. I can tell you this much. It is not an outdoor or fishing company. It is a soap manufacturer that has decided to spend a few dollars in this area. I have been aproaching them for three years. when it is OK to release the in formation I will do so and post a copy of my letters to them along with all of the details. I thought this was a reach and had decided in July not to approach again this year but gave it one more try. Morale to this story do not limit yourself to the types of companies that you approach and do not give up hope. I can tell you this is a cash only deal that will help me with entry fees and travel expenses.
  12. Jigs and dropshot on the deeper drops and the deeper ends of the laydowns. Depending on the season also deep diving cranks and c-rigs in 20-30 ft. If you get two or three days of sunshine do not be afraid to move up and fish in the 8-12 water off points and rocky banks.
  13. I subscribe to FLW, Bassmaster, and Bass Times. Of the three I like Bass Times due to their enviromental articles.
  14. They are excellent and seem to give the fish something different. They work well.
  15. I too prefer the 100. Also, I prefer the 100 on the Sammy than the other sizes. The American Shad color has been the most productive Sammy that I have used.
  16. I will have to stand up for the two BPS in the Houston area. I have never had a problem exchanging anything even without a receipt. i was in their store on 288 this morning pricing Revo reels and they were 10.00 cheaper (99.00) on the Revo reel than anyone else in town. I bought two. They even told me if I went on line I would be able to purchase a little cheaper. I just did not want to wait. Six months ago I carried back a goretex rain bib that I had owned for nine months and I thought the color had faded early. The girl at the counter would not exchange it but called a manager and he looked at it and told me to go get another and bring it back to the service desk. I walked out with a new one no charge. This is not an exception, they always treat me right.
  17. I will take 6 Revos. Any design.
  18. Been there, done that...Your are lucky you made it to the E/R. If you have to have the surgery look for the string. It's under the covers, just look down. Only those that have enjoyed this surgery will understand what I am refering to...LOL
  19. I got their flyer and there was no freshwater fishing stuff in it. Makes you wonder. I spend most of my money at Academy now. BPS is no friend of mine. Just a tourist trap as far as I am concerned.
  20. Matt, thank you for the kind words. you did not have to do it. FYI, the picture of me is at Lake Falcon on the Texas/Mexico border taken durning the Texas Association of Bass Clubs state championship the last week of September of this year. Again, thank you for allowing me to send you some tackle and I will forward you some other items as I receive them. Jack
  21. I need help finding the Strike King series 5 crankbaits in the sexy shad color. I have been backordered by BPS, Dicks, Tackle Whlse and cannot seem to find them. Any ideas would be a big help. The Strike King color code is 590 and BPS is 90 if that helps.
  22. The toughest for me are cold muddy water conditions. Speaking of cold it has been in the mid 30s at night with a high of low to mid 40s since the Thanksgiving cold front blew in. for east Texas that is pretty raw weather.
  23. Houston weather update a low of 71 this morning. Don't *** us to much the high for the next five days is 51 with lows in the lower 40s or high 30s. Now that's big bite weather. Going Friday and Saturday.
  24. T-Rig, I thought everyone over there wore ski bibs year round. What you are wearing we wear maybe two months out of twelve. My bibs are six years pld and have only been worn a couple of dozen times.
