  1. I must be really obsessed. I fish more tournaments than that each year.
  2. Cast it, flip it, or pitch it. Fish it like a worm is the best way to tell you. When it hits bottom just lift it off the bottom and let it fall back, lift it and let it fall on a tight line and it will fall back toward the boat, rip it off the bottom several feet and drop it on a slack line. It all depends on the structure (bluff, grass, creek edge, etc). There are many different ways to fish as you can think of.
  3. I own a Skeeter. Have owned Rangers, Nitros, Champions, Stratos, Cajuns, and fished out of most of the others. I have never seen any of the larger name brands fail as to hull, transom, etc. If you take care of it they all will give you years of troublefree service. If not all will disapoint you.
  4. I like a pair of cutters and when I cannot find them a sharp knife.
  5. I think it would be great. When I started airbrushing my lures it was a joke. Several were sanded down well over a half of dozen times before I fished them. I am sure they were not very pretty even then.
  6. Sorry to say there are none in my life. I wish I had taken the time to teach my daughter and spent more time in the outdoors with her. Now she lives so far away that I see her very little. She married about a year ago to a fine young man that had a father that played 7 or 8 years with the Celtics and she spends most holidays in the Boston area. I know it will come up so I will tell you the boys father is Steve Kuberski. His family had about 80 people at their wedding and I got to spend quite a bit of time with Steve and his wife Dianne. They are great people. All of you Boston people are very lucky to have had a player like Steve to represent you and your city. They are great people.
  7. If the weather has cleared off fish tight to cover and slow way down. Jigs, dropshot, etc. Leave it in the strike zone for ever. Yes, you should go. I never caught a thing sitting on the couch.

No favorites here. I have some confidence baits and a box or two that I will not tie on unless the money is on the line.
  10. Bought a 100 Sammy in the American Shad color two years ago. Caught a limit on Toledo Bend that weekend on it that weighted 19.71 in the back end of Carrice Creek in October. I was hooked
  11. It really changed my thoughts about him. I really disagreed with his actions. After seeing what all he has been through I saw him in a new light. He has really paid his dues and suffered with his family.
  12. Only if a blonde is driving the second car.
  13. October to April is my favorite time. Gortex, layers, the largest bass of the year, and few crowds.
  14. The title is Fishing on the Edge and I read it two years ago. Great book. I didnot care for him until I read it. Had a lot more respect for him after that. Try to read some of KVD's books also. they are loaded with great ideas.
  15. Jig and a drop shot on the points. Down to 40 ft.
  16. Thanks for the reminder Catt. Trust me if I could have gotten by security I would have recovered the ball myself. It was too far from the 40th row.
  17. Wel I just returned from the game in Alabama. Although i did not care for the outcome it was a great ballgame. Just wish it had ended up the other direction. All I can say about the day was what a hell of a party. I might recover by midweek. Have to say the better team won. Roll Tide
  18. Catt, Catt, Catt, how can you say that. Saban has the red elephants ready and waiting for the kitty to come creeping across the state line. Dorsey won't play, the rest of the decent players are left home behind bars. If the tide is in fact ready I can see another close game decided late in the fourth quarter. Bama 27-16. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!
  19. NHS, welcome aboard. See your posts on TFF
  20. If the trolling motor is straight 24v. this is how it should be wired and is on my boat. Red(Positive cable) should be attached to battery one positive post, black(Negative cable) to the negative post of battery two, battery cable three should run from battery one - to battery two +. Other than my onboard chargers this is the only thing attached to my trolling motor batterys. Everything else is attached to my cranking battery and includes two depth finders and one soner/GPS combo.
  21. You cannot swap tranducers for one brand to another.
  22. Guys I have seen more problems lately with someone having a problem reading or understanding what they see or what it shows on their depth finder. Solutions: Read the manuel Take the unit off of automatic-MOST IMPORTANT Turn off fish marker Set the unit to your specs The manuel will describe everything above and more. Most will even show pictures describing what you are likely to see on your unit. If a unit is set correctly it will show strands of underwater grass. They are that clear. Get somewhere you are familiar with the contor and idle across it so you will know what you are looking at. It is very simple if you will take the time to familiarize yourself with the unit. Take the time to learn it and it will be a joy. If you don't, just get yourself an anchor to drop overboard. Reading the botton contor is one of only many things I use my units for. When you understand what it will do you can even tell the type of bottom you are over just by looking at the screen. TAKE THE UNIT OFF AUTOMATIC!!! PUT IT IN MANUEL OPERATION MODE and LEAVE IT THERE!!!
  23. Let me guess. You mounted it and turned it on. Big problem. If you will take it out of the auto mode and switch it to manuel operation you can adjust the gain and problem solved...Period
