I think Richardsons fish camp on the east side has cabins but I have never stayed there. 1550 Scottys Road Kissimmee, FL 34744-6652 (407) 846-6540 Camp Mack has nice stuff but they are on the river canal between hatch and Kissimmee. It is a 45 min bass boat ride from camp mack to the north end of Toho. The rates are kind of high but it's the nicest place on the chain. campmack.com Grape Hammock on the south end of Kissimmee is the most reasonable. It's a 20 min ride from Grape to the north end of Kissimmee on a calm day. grapehammock.com There are several other places to stay on the chain but they are mostly RV oriented.

I use gators as well as birds to FIND fish. They are not there because it looks pretty. I rarely have problems with gators but I have been run off of a spot once or twice. I don't really like it when they try to get in the boat after my fish.

A client of mine (who has never owned a boat) has a tr20 and I'm teaching him how to run it. It has a 250 xs merc and will absolutely fly. We were running across Kissimmee in a pretty heavy chop and looked down and we were doing 68 with plenty of pedal left. The ride was so smooth you did not notice the speed.
