  1. LOL I'm sold! Where can I buy them???
  2. LOL Tin ;D Yes it actually does work quite well. Seen It last night. Was a little surprised that you don't have to burn to get it to work. Makes a nice alternative to a swimjig or even a buzzzfrog. Will handle some pretty tight cover due to the weedguard. Chris, what kind of trailers you been playing with? Now thatt you got the bait running straight it's time to play with some plastics I think.Naturally one of the first choices would be a Rage craw or a 4 inch grub. Maybe even try a small shad body type boot tail. Maybe a baby money minnow? Hmmm.. What about a small Sizmic toad?
  3. So in other words your just sitting in your computer chair and casting out the back door? Nice. I may have to try one of these "buzzbaits" for myself.
  4. You've got me interested now. This is a cool idea. It seems like more of the hook would be exposed if used frog hooks. Not only that, but I was also just thinking that MAYBE you could use one of the screw on versions and straddle the bait with the two hooks riding on the sides. IN THEORY. It would be cool to check out if I owned any of those style hooks.
  5. I think it would be just like swimming a jig but with a bit more noise. I think you should upsize the blade to maybe one of those that come on the wounded spook. Then again that would make it a buzzbait, right?
  6. Insert a worm rattle in the rear end or worst case a nail weight 8-)
  7. A well known big bass bait is a Large straight tailed worm, preferrably black. Mojo rigged(light carolina) worked very slow.
  8. My experience so far.It is hard to hook fish with it. The only thing you can really do is to not skin hook the point. Use at least a 5/0 for the small one. I like the owner wide gap plus. This is about my favorite hook for thick bodied baits.Unfortuantely they don't make a 7/0. I've used the Gammy 7/0 monster hook for the big one. I recently got some gammy G-mag oversized hooks but haven't tried it on the hound yet. Just an idea I had. I am wondering about some of these double frog hooks they got out now to use on this thing if it would work or not.....
  9. I been seein them but not catching them.....yet. Whats your hot bait? Do they get picky about what they will hit?
  10. Pink Floyd The Wall, oh wait was it Iron Maiden Somewhere In Time? So Many to choose from....
  11. Yeah It's just a basic shad type body bait.Similar to the Mirrolure or DOA CAL. On a jighead I could definitely see this being a productive smallmouth bait as an alternative to basic curltail grub.I'd be willin to bet freshwater trout or even slab crappie would dog it too.
  12. What bait was it? It's really no big secret that most styles of bass lures catch redfish, snook, and vice versa.I just caught a few bass on a D.O.A shrimp today at a phosphate pit caught a redfish last week on a ragetail shad.
  13. All their plastics are top quality, killer action, great colors, and a particularly delicious smell. You can't really go wrong. 8-)

  15. The sureset baits need to stay and the colors from those series. It's that godforsaken snaggly goofy deathtrap hook that needs to go, at least from the front...
  16. Its got a different rolling style wobble to it that will attract fish the DT may not. It also bounces off cover and goes over it compared to the DT series that will go around it. I love to throw flats close to shore and bring them down a bank holding rock and tree structure Thanks! I think there are much better options for woody cover. I love the flat for grinding the edges of ledges and across rocky or hard bottom humps and other such types of structure. It produces some incredible reaction strikes for me doing this when other cranks seem to fail. Due to the flat sides the bait puts off a lot more flash too. Sometimes thats what the fish want.
  17. That is really gonna dissappoint me and pizz me off straight out if they are discontinuing them. That is by far one of the best cranks you can buy for the money.Wouldn't put it past em one bit. Also I did notice that BPS was clearing them out a while back and Dick's has also been clearing them out.
  18. Sheesh! You call those redfish!?!? ;D
  19. Pretty cool! Nice fish man. I sorta miss catching those guys in Ohio.
  20. Nice! Great fish Man.
  21. x2 decent bait. Not extra special, but decent. Good bait for bumping wood. At the price you got them for it shouldn't be too much of a prob if ya lose a few too.
  22. Very true. I still cannot bring myself to fish like that no matter how hard I try although I know it can be effective.
  23. That was actually about to be my answer. Sticking around and actually working a likely area for a longer period of time and trying different things is slowing down to me. Sometimes it doesn't pay to bop around all over the place hoping to get lucky and find one active fish.
