  4. I would like to fish with everyone on the forum. I got to talk to a few of you through AIM and PM's and the 3 that I would love to fish with that come to mind are: Tin- Tin may be the only reason I will ever step foot in RI. I def. wanna get fishing with this guy. I am always bugging him for bits of advice he is always helpful and insightful although one time he tried to make me pay! :-/ Senko77- I PM senko quite a bit usually with 23956723597 questions per post. He always takes time out of his schedule to answer them. Really appreciative of that. Sam- Sam always offers to help with any problem I have had. Whether it be club/coangler/college/career/maps. Sam does everything in his power to help he is a great asset to this forum. I would love to fish with everyone on this forum. No matter what skill level I am a firm believer that you can learn from everyone in one way or another. Some guys that I would love to fish with, get to know, and will be PM'ing with questions (yeah that's right look out you guys) are: George Welcome Fluke Catt 5bass Aint Texan Fish Chris Hawghunter bass_fin@tic A lot of names are not coming to mind right now but if you ever want to fish someone in PA with reasonable distance to central or NE pa PM ME. I fish as much as I can and with anyone who enjoys it! Same with talking about fishing... I can talk for hours on end about fishing.
  5. I am in PSU's bass club. I was not here in the beginning when the club was formed but I think I have an idea of how its done. Universities usually have a system for club sports. Find out at your University what you need to do to get a club started. Some colleges have like different level of clubs. Some colleges also throw money at you to get a club started. Start the club and then contact http://www.collegiatebass.org/. Get on that list and I think they will send you tournament information and so on. I am not sure if you have ever been in a club but the one at school should be ran sort of like a local bass club. Have meetings regularly get the word out so you can have a decent amount of people. Get a government hierarchy (President, Vice, Secretary, Treasurer). You might want to research a bit on clubs to see how to run one since you are most likely to be the president. Things to think about (Dues, Sponsors, Points System, BOATS). That's all I can think of right now if you have any specific questions PM me I will talk to our pres and get you an answer. Good luck and hope to see you in competition!
  6. I am leaving tonight with PSU's Bass Team to go to baltimore Maryland for the weekend. We will be at the Chesapeake boat show. I will be there in a long sleeve gray Penn state bass fishing shirt or a psu bass fishing hoody with an advertisement on the back. If you go look us up! Let me know if anyone is going I will be around for awhile yet. http://www.chesapeakeboatshow.com
  7. Tin of course I am looking for my sugar momma! So lets figure in that I already have my sugar momma (lawyer/rich girl). So Catt and Tin any other advice?
  8. If you could give one piece of advice to a new upcoming tournament fisherman what would it be?
  9. http://www.potomacbass.com/ Check that site out for maps. I already ordered from gmco or I would order from this site.
  10. GMCO is a pain in the butt. I called for a week at all different times trying to order that map and no results or answers. I heard that answering machine 100 times. I dont know what I mean by tidal its just the only one I have seen so I refer to that. I am guessing you can't order maps off of bps's web site? If anyone knows how to get ahold of GMCO to get maps please let me know. Next weekend I am going to the Maryland Boat show with my PSU team. Maybe I will get lucky and find maps there.. who knows.
  11. I was wondering if any of you knew where to buy a tidal potomac map?If you know of any other potomac map that will satisfy the needs of fishing the potomac will work also. Thank you!
  12. Well a few things to be mentioned. Judging by the color and scale configuration of this fish it was caught sometime in early late April. I noticed that the grain of the wood is impure and the carpet is dingy which tells me you did not catch this at lake Elmer Thomas. Lastly I noticed this fish is not smiling which tells me he was caught on live bait. lol just kidding nice fish!

Do you guys buy lake maps that you fish tournaments on? Is it worth it to buy the lake maps if you dont have a good gps for the water?
  17. Perch school up and stay in the same general area for a period of time. Same size perch run together also. Honestly what my buddies do is they have underwater cameras. They keep drilling hole after hole and putting the camera down looking for perch. Then they take their jigging rods and go to work. Those cameras are amazing for panfish. It is neat to see your jig fly to the bottom then raise it up and watch on the camera twitch twitch twitch (fish sucks it up) then the fish goes flying out of picture. I dont know how much oxygen is down 70 feet. If you have no intention of getting a camera jig multible holes on that foot area weed line. Basically when you find them you find them. Good luck!
  18. I went out 3 times this year already. I live in Northeast PA but I have to travel about an hour away to get on some good ice. The ice here is 2 inches thick up the line where I go it was 7-9. I dont go on anything less then 4 but that is just me. So far ice fishing this year I caught 6 pickeral 2 bass bunch of perch. 1 legal bass 18 inch pickeral tiny perch.
  19. I have a quantum catalyst and a quantum tour edition pt rod awesome set up.
  20. I did it today on the four lane it actually does work!!!!! Thanks mikeinma!
  21. Muddy your killing your fish this year?
  22. You know what grinds my gears..... You are doing 55 in a 25 zone and someone tailgates you with those silly blue red and white lights and gets on the megaphone telling you to pull over.... me the nice guy that I am pulls over and he decides to fine me!!
  23. I have had CONSTANT problems with game wardens, and frankly I am sick of it. I am tempted to go to the higher authorities on these jokes around my area. I have been spied on for 30-40 minutes while catfishing at 3 a.m.. I have been followed stream to stream in the same day. I am takling he drives right behind me and follows me. They have fined my handicapped cousin for .5 inch on a bass. I have gotten fined ice fishing for bogus regulations took it to court and won. I know all wardens are different but boy oh boy do I have problems with the local ones. In my eyes these guys here dont try to promote the sport they like to push their authority around. >
