  3. They is a powerful rod dont let the m fool you it is very stiff and a fast rod you could use it for heavier stuff.

    *** for soft plasticsget a little bit of everything he sells nuff said I put them up there with anything else i tried, buy like 10 packs of ewg gammy hooks in 3/0 4/0 5/0. Buy some jigs i like the evolutions jigs booyah jigs really like punisher jigs as well as sk jigs. Get spinner baits i like booyah and i like cavitron buzzbaits get white and charttruse with a mixture of willow and colorado blades. Get some crankbaits if you like them rapala dt are affordable and quality is second to none. Rattle traps are a top producer of mine i love rattilin raps try all sizes in silver blue silver gold chrome blue and silver as well as cotton cordell ones sk red eye and diamond shad. Are you still reading this. Also try some lake fork tackle live magic shads in 5.5 inch with 7/0 lft swimbait hooks. Also try some shake2 jig heads and zoom finess worms trick worms, lizards, and toads did i mention more ***. Also rage tail shad. Get some berkley 10" power worms in your favourite colors and some gycb kreatures. Also look for bargin stuff thats quality and get on the water and have fun sucks what happened wish i could help you out Sorry about the 1 paragraph

    its all good bryan, i just bought 156 packs of the zoom horny toads from a guy at about $0.35 a toad, so im stocked up for awhile. all the same, if anybody is unloading let me know... i love the horny toad! we should have a rage tail v. horny toad fish off... You bought 273 dollars worth of horny toads :-?

  10. I have never used a flouro leader while using braid and still catch fish along with others who use braid without a lead i don't believe in that stuff.

Yeah, I know - I almost didn't post, but I figure all the other Carrot posts have been so positive, might as well get a counterpoint right? : Honestly though, I stand by what I said, and again, the Carrot is a nice rod. IMO, the Crucial is nicer Skillet - you're in for a treat with the Crucial. Now I haven't tried all the $140 rods out there, but I can't imagine for the price it gets any better than a Crucial. I agree I have an avid a carrot boyd duckett and st.croix legend elite bait casting rods and my 2 crucial i like just as much as them. Same goes for spinning rods

  20. Theres no hopefully you cant rely on anyone but yourself to get you where you want to be.
  21. Starting off with a better reel would have helped try using a heavier weight and make short casts while you train your thumb.
  22. Im 14 and 5' 9 ive been using 7' rods since i was 11. If you have a balanced rod no problems.
  23. crankbaits... Or jerkbaits, possibly spinnerbaits, deep crank baits, large treble hooked lures.
