You can also place a pack of baits that didn't come like this in a used clam to bring them back to perfect shape. A little sunshine will take care of it... Finally gottem finished and with exception of the Anacondas, all of the Rage Tail baits now come packaged in hardshell clams and placed inside the bag to guarantee perfect action on every single bait. Intricate designs in these soft plastics require special handling and this is the only way I could figure out to guarantee that you receive my best effort. These hard clam packs can be found at most all of the major suppliers now and hope you get a chance to ck'em out. Keep the clams as they are reusable and you can place your baits back inside to maintain the integrity of the shape and design. For 1/2 oz and heavier I use the Rage Lobster and pinch to desired length....Slows fall rate substantially and provides excellent flapping action even in the coldest water and minimal rod movement. Big O www.ragetail.com

Hey Group, first let me apologize for being so defensive in my previous post response, after all everyone is entitled to their thoughts as this is exactly what this terrific forum is all about...personal thoughts and ideas about anything and everything 'Fishing'. I try to see something positive in everything, regardless of the first impression but I missed the boat on this one and got left at the dock. With me, SK has always been completely truthful and up front on everything we've done together so I kinda like'em, plus alot of those guys are my close friends so maybe I'm a bit protective. I'm sure that they wouldn't have signed a long term license agreement with me if they didn't trust my integrity or my ability to provide them with unique and innovative designs. I've never tried to be like anyone else, wheres the fun in that....plus I'm old and I'm not gonna change. For those of you who have become my friends and support my efforts, A Big O THANKYOU, and for those of you who are not so sure, Big O UNDERSTANDS, been there too. I will still try to be the first to congratulate you on your fishing feats regardless what bait you use...BR is RT's Forum home and everyone here has been an integral part of my decision making. Greg must have ate the 30 packs of Annie's himself that were sent to him via overnight mail on the second day of practice. Oh, and there were 10 packs of Rage Lobsters in that shipment as well for jig trailers........ Wonder if he ate the jigs too????? I'll Have to call him and ask him. Reckon I should ask him if he even caught the fish himself or did someone give them to him at the boat ramp, hmmmmm....... I also think some things are overrated, like opinions without facts to base them on....For a fact I have fished and ckd out every big worm style and type in the market place over the last 35 years and there are none that have the design or action of the RT Anaconda. There have been many questions on the best way to fish the new Rage Anaconda worms and as is typical with most new bait designs, the pro's most often show us the way on new ideas. Greg Hackney (Hack-a-Tack) was using the 10" Rage Anaconda with a 3/8 to 1/2 oz. Texas-rig and just slowly turning the reel handle as he crawled the Anaconda across a hard bottom and down an drop. With this technique, he set the new all-time 3-day heavyweight record at 109 lbs. 6 oz. (15 fish), as he won the FLW East/West fish-off at Falcon Lake in late November. BTW, that's an average of 7.30lbs per fish. The 10" Anaconda is a big worm. IMO, the minimum size hook to use with the Annie is a 5/0 EWG. I prefer 6/0 on both EWG and standard offset, longshank, heavywire hooks. I also use a lighter 1/4 oz TX-rig in shallow areas (to 10 ft) in and around grass, sticks, etc. Swimming the Anaconda through the grass weightless or with a keel-weighted hook and letting it fall slowly in the pockets has produced many quality size fish for me as well. Each has their favorites when it comes to color, and I am a fan of RedBug for the red side and GreenPumpkin or BamaBug for the green side. One color that is quickly becoming one of my top choices is BigTex (BlackNeon-oneside/ Tan&Orange&GreenFlake- opposite). Looks like a real snake.......... Big O www.ragetail.com

I will probably change when another hook manufacturer designs a hook that is identical in eye offset shape, overall length and shape, gap width, wire strength and eye of hook is completely closed so that braided line doesn't rip thru eye gap. This particular hook provides excellent hook up percentages yet is slender, long and strong. Until another suiter comes along and offers a better package, I will continue to use the old brown dogs on the Annies, especially in the grass where the EWG's cause too much drag..... Big O

Tx rig with 1/4 oz and up weight or Carolina rig. I used 6/0 heavy wire-off set-long shank-Eagle Claws. Used them for years with great success. They do rust after usage but I don't care...they catch fish. Also use alot of 6/0 EWG Gammys and a variety of keel weighted hooks too. Big O www.ragetail.com

Kent, great story and understand your disappointment but just think, you witnessed an awesome moment that all fishermen dream about.....The opportunity to challenge and do battle with a possible world record. There are but a few folks "in this world" that might have such an opportunity, so chin up and keep the faith. BFM, Oldham trailer hitch jig has s a screw on system that not only firmly attaches the trailer in position but is also easily unscrewed for removal. This is one of my favorite jigs and has been for several years. Great hooks and excellent quality in my opinion. Big O www.ragetail.com

BFM, I have fished the Rage lizard Tx rig, Carolina Rig and weightless. Although I haven't burned it or run it on top....I have had great success weightless slowly retrieving it (extremely slow) over grass and moss beds with short pauses.
