fishing small ponds
So does a 6" lizz, pond fish can't help themselves when they see little lizz. They gotta smack her. Use 1/8 to 3/16 oz and 3/0 hook. That and a drop shot wacky style like Brett mentioned will win you the big prize. Now go and make us proud. www.ragetail.com

How many people fish with a partner that outfishes them? (every time)
You couldn't have said it better LBH. When we take a friend fishing, do we hope that has a miserable time? He's not Osama Bin Laden! He's your friend and you should hope that he catches a fish of a life time. Now that's good fishing times you can remember. kudo's www.ragetail.com

Fishing w/ Shaw Grigsby on Monday - ought to be fun!
He is always smiling and squealing and he is like that in real life too. He never meets a stranger and never, never, never stops talking. Did I say never? "That's a real PIG man I mean a PIIIIIGGG"! www.ragetail.com

Exclusive interview with John Crews
Great job Glenn, the co angler situation is a touchy subject with many but a co angler should always respect the pro's position, water, and the challenge thats before him. We should all remember that we are a guest on his boat and the pro circuit is a grueling job. Although many of us see Fishing professionally as glamorous, there are too many long hours on the road away from families, not to mention that in order to be a real success, one has to sell out completely to fishing for a living. This takes some real Kahones. More often than not and rightly so, the co angler feels privileged just to be able to share this new found friends boat with hopes that he can learn something that will make him a better angler in the future as well as make a new friend for life. Thank God for these types of Co anglers. Thats the way it was in the beginning of this program. And it has drifted toward a push and shove situation thats a little unhealthy for many and could put a stain on this terrific sport . We need to be careful not to let money and competition get the best of us. And always remember to respect those who lay it on the line, and they do. Again good job and I am happy to be a part of this great group here at Bass Resource. www.ragetail.com

Anyone else enjoy fishing in the rain?
What we need to talk about is the worst storm that any of has ever been in on the water. Now boy's, have I got some stories to tell ya! But I want to be sitting by a campfire to tell'em cause I'll start trembling just at the thought. www.ragetail.com

Fishing w/ Shaw Grigsby on Monday - ought to be fun!
Will do, and thanks. I am fortunate, but I more consider it blessed. Any of us that get to go fishing with our friends on a regular basis are much more than lucky. Was suppose to fish with Big Mark Davis but he has babies at home and has been away for awhile on the Texas swing, Falcon and Amistad. Shaw said he would rather fish than breathe and I told him I would rather he do both. We're gonna try to light'em up, so I can't wait. Thanks for the comments Bass Resource Bass Resource Bass resource I think I got it ! www.ragetail.com

Hook Manufacturers need to get the hint!
Yeah Joel, and the bigger the hook it seems the bigger the gap. but I've found that on these larger hooks, so much pressure is required to crimp with pliers that it will often leave a sharp abrasion on the hook, so I try to avoid that as well. Thanks just the same www.ragetail.com

Anyone else enjoy fishing in the rain?
When it's raining real hard and the winds blowing a gale force, most of us old guys tell you young guns, Go Gett'em! But when it clears off a bit and we've been sitting around drinking coffee and eating donuts, we say "We'll Gett'em". We're not lazy, I just don't think we're as mad at the fish as we use to be. ;D www.ragetail.com

What happend to Stike King 3x lures?
You are right, I remember when the bait wouldn't sink with a 6/0 EWG wide gap hook and now many are full of salt to make them sink. www.ragetail.com

Hook Manufacturers need to get the hint!
That's another pet peeve, after chipping the paint in the eye of the jig, it leaves small sharp paint edges that are instant stress points for your line. I remove all of the paint from the eye area to avoid this type of problem as well. Are we being too picky? www.ragetail.com

Fishing w/ Shaw Grigsby on Monday - ought to be fun!
Shaw is a hoot. Never saw anyone who enjoys fishing as much as he does. "WOW, WHAT A PIG" I can hear him saying that already. He's like a kid in a candy store when he's fishing. Wished all of you friends here on Bass Fishing Forum could do this too, cause it's alot of fun. We will be filming for a couple of my new Rage Tail designs, that are coming out soon. Will mention Bass Fishing Forum while we're fishing but don't know if they will leave it in the footage. Will let yall know how it went after the trip. Hope it's not too windy. Good fishin www.ragetail.com

Fish don't get no wetter, but have been around too much lightening and it's not a good time. Turns your hair white and in my case, makes it fall out too. www.ragetail.com

Definitely one of the best learning curves in fishing is watching someone else tear you up on numbers. The more it happens, the better you get. www.ragetail.com

can you explain jigs?
Important to remember that all good jig fishermen keep a jig in their pocket at all times for priority's sake. Pajama's too! This way you can dream about jig fishing as well! Sweet dreams.............. www.ragetail.com

Hook Manufacturers need to get the hint!
I used power pro 50 as well and had the problem, not the lines fault. so I changed to a larger dia to avoid it. Didn't help that much. Snelling the hook seems to be the best answer. www.ragetail.com

Different Hook Shapes?
Yeah Buddy, 4/0 EWG for me too, although I like 5/0 and 6/0 too about as much. Gotta have'em for my bigger baits and the the big ole girls. www.ragetail.com

What happend to Stike King 3x lures?
You are correct in saying to keep them seperate from other plastics and in just about any storage environment they will be fine. The first product that came on the market was definitely less than desirable but that has changed. The new product is tremedously stable and a big advantage for bouyancy as well as durability. Several other manufacturers are on the ban wagon now. None of my products are produced in Elaz tech due to the strech in the plastic did not provide the perfect action results, or I would be using it as well. www.ragetail.com

how big?
I agree with you Calbert 9lbs and congratulations for a great job. Thanks for letting her go right where you caught her. You are providing a good example and future for our next generation of Bass fisherman. KUDO'S to you and keep it up. Good fishing. www.ragetail.com

If you had to fish one lure the rest of your life, what would it be?
Kinda like a craw, cause I can fish it weightless, tx rig it, jig it, carolina rig it, or even put it in my pocket for good luck. You knew I was gonna choose that now didn't you? ;D www.ragetail.com

What happend to Stike King 3x lures?
Still available and the product has changed to Elaz tech. It is a better formulation and SK has several different styles of baits in that material. Ck out strikeking.com and go to product page to review. Several larger dist.'s carry the variety of baits and as mentioned Tackle Warehouse has them as well. good fishing www.ragetail.com
