  1. By the way, it is a terrific 'Fast or Slow' retrieve top water bait. Slow, it wobbles and swims side to side. Faster retrieve, the tail slaps back and forth quickly and moves alot of water. Big O www.ragetail.com
  2. Here's a link and just scroll down to rigging and use information. It's a Big Worm with great action and water movement at super slow fall or retrieve speed. 1/4 oz weight is plenty to make tail siwm and use heavier weight for deeper water or winded conditions. I prefer 5/0 minimum hook size and Heavy wire Standard off set J hook for Tx or C Rig. There is a hyphen ---- clip line on the hook in the Tail and when clipped it changes the action of the tail from a swimmer to a side to side flapping motion. Don't throw the worm away when the head wears out....Pinch it down and keep fishing it. In fact, I often use it as a 6" flippin bait or C rig by pinching it down to leave the last 3 sections above the tail. I like it best clipped on the score line when it's this length. Hook it with tail pointed down when C rigged. http://www.ragetail.com/Thumper.html keep in touch Big O www.ragetail.com
  3. Here's an illustration for rigging and also a link for use and techniques for fishing....Main thing is 4/0 EWG Superline hook and hook the bait centered correctly and without bowing the back upward....If you need any other info, just let me know http://www.ragetail.com/news/rigging-info/ Big O www.ragetail.com
  4. If you are running your Toad in winded water, using a 1/16 or 1/8 oz weighted hook will keep the bait from skippong out in the waves and also add distance to your cast. You can still run it relatively slow by raising your rod tip a bit Big O www.ragetail.com

  7. Follow these hooking instructions and problem solved Pls. pay close attn to the hook slot that is provided on the Toads back and avoid bowing the back upward when skin hooking. This technique works on most all soft plastic baits Big O www.ragetail.com

  12. Hey RW, If the Smokin Rooster loses his Tail....don't throw him away : Just remove it completely, this style was recently named SMOKIN' HEN by one of our TEAMRAGETAIL Members....makes a short profile bait with wild action. I use a q-tip and tip the flange points on side wings when it's a Hen....Fish are crazy about it and rarely miss on hook up's Big O www.ragetail.com

  20. wow really, last year we tore them up with the summer craw color. This year I have yet to catch a bass on any thing other then a fluke. That is the exact same color I used. I wore out an entire pack without so much as a nibble. T rigged w/ 1/8oz weight on a 4/0 EWG gammy. There are times and water where one particular color is not suited for our style or choice of presentation. Normally, I would use Summer Craw as a Jig Trailer for flippin or swim jig applications since a quicker motion is often needed to create the reaction strike. And this isn't to say that it doesn't work as is flipped, Tx or C rigged because many folks and lakes "have to have it". IMO, darker colors like Green Pumpkin, Watermelon/Red, California Craw and Black'n'Blue flake are more appropriate for those presentations. I hold to the theory that with Light and Bright, move it quicker and w/darker colors you can slow'em down. Hope that helps Big O www.ragetail.com
