Nope....I'm retired from that stuff. I was just helping the Boys with some of the "where's and why's" on those two lakes Clay is a Wounded Iraq Vet and Matt is like a son to me. Both of'em had new Electronics for their boats and wanted some help marking the lakes for future references. Might as well fish while I'm doin' all that work if you know what I mean Big O www.ragetail.com

New Rage Tail line of baits.
All Rage Tail Baits for subsurface applications are designed to have maximum action with 1/4 oz pegged weight. All of the RT video action shots are produced with 1/4 oz as well. This size weight is the most popular in the market place and the RT's are designed to slow fall rate and hold bait in strike zone just a little longer as well as have increased action over all other Soft Plastic products. If you watch the video's closely, although there may be constant swimming footage on some, there is also footage on each on lift and free fall to illustrate the action provided. The baits are illustrated in this manner to show the versitility of each for the variety of applications and use. Hope that helps Big O www.ragetail.com

B-Hogs are too soft now??
Softer texture as well as salt helps to increase fish hold time so that the angler has more opportunity to feel the fish which also allows more time to set the hook ...... impregnated with salt makes poly sol or standard soft plastics heavier so that their sink rate is increased ...... to get a floating plastic that has enough salt to increase hold time, Elaztec is another product to consider. Onion Powder
Onion is natural and will help mask human odor....will it work, IMO Yes and paste might be better than loose powder on outside of bait. Big O www.ragetail.com

Doin' it at Night
dillioniowa.....Yes, many bass will feed at night especially when the Summer days get really hot, plus I fish nights to avoid the sun and heat too HAWK.....As far as a time that the fish really turn on, IMO they are normally most active from dusk til 2am. I think there is a transition period where dew point has somewhat of an affect on their feeding habits. But I have also seen where certain fish will eat regardless but may have moved a little deeper after dew point until the normal dawn feeding period. long_horn basser.....I was fishing Still House on 7/21 and Fork 7/22, maybe one of those is close to you if you're from Texas Big O www.ragetail.com

Doin' it at Night
Now that the ICAST pressures off, I've been taking some time to fish a little and a couple of my guys bought new fishing rigs and asked me to ck'em out on the lake with'em....WOOO-HOOOO that means mine stays in the garage and they get to Cheauffeer me around the lake. NOW were Talkin' ;D On Tuesday night I went fishing with Clay. We got to the lake at 5:30 pm and marked spots for a couple of hours then started fishing. Caught several at each stop but size was lacking so we kept moving. Finally after it was good and dark we slipped over to an area that had produced several nice sized fish for me in the past and there was no one around to see us so we eased up and started fishing. Both of us screwed up and let 2 really big fish beat us down and come loose before we could get them in the boat but we did manage to get a picture of another fish...not quite the size of the other two but it'll do A film of this session would have been priceless cause there was some jumpin, jerkin, slashin, slammin, cussin and cryin goin on for a while there and we were laughing and making fun of each others screw up's The following night I went with Matt and he has been fishing with me since he was a little boy and has turned out to be one heck of a Fisherman. We had fished a couple weeks ago and a GIANT of a lifetime broke his line right at the boat because he got her too close too quick and he wasn't prepared for the WAR She showed no mercy and acted as if he was a child with a Snoopy Pole ;D He Yelled "Big O....HOW BIG WAS SHE!!!!!" and I said "Well, when her gills flappin sounds like a Truck Hood Slammin'.....She Aint No Little Girl" So Wed night we went to a lake that I haven't fished for several months. The early Summer tourney traffic is rediculous on this one so I try to avoid it until about now. We got to the first spot and since there was no other boat within sight.....First Cast I made - tug - set - line snap...OHHH, I forgot about my previous outing where I was fishing Bridge pilings and my line must have freyed. So I pulled off 30 ft or so and re-tied for another go. Next cast - tug - set - line snap ARGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I told Matt it was me that felt like a Beginner now because I should've known better. I re-spooled and Thump - Thump - Thump the fish were landing in the boat Also below is a photo of a nice one that Matt caught....He had to support his arm on this fish, but it was a dink compared to the giant he lost a couple of weeks ago. He won't hear the end of that one for a long time.....I'll see to that ;D Big O www.ragetail.com

Strike King Rage Tail Anaconda 10 inch
10 ft or less and low wind conditions over grass, Keel weighted hook 1/8 to 3/16 and slow fall then fish like Tx rig. Open water any depth Tx rig or C rig with weight size depending on wind conditions and depth of water. Weightless in shallow water and over grass. When pitching the Annie's or fishing brush or timber, I use a rubber peg stopper ahead of the weight to keep it close to the head of the bait. This keeps the weight from sliding down the line when navigating the bait over limbs etc. The links that RW and Catt provided above just about says it all Hope that helps Big O www.ragetail.com
