  1. his problem was not a manufacturer defect. Strike king can't control what a fish does to a lure in the water. If anything it should show that the bait performed up to par since the fish decided to destroy it lol. They really do take care of real problems though. Sent them back 2 defective squarebills and they hooked me up with 5!
  2. Not sure how I forgot but the pit boss or chunk is AWESOME too.
  3. Any rage tail trailer. Zoom super chunks. Netbait pacas. Denny brauer chunks are good for cold water since they have little to no action but they stand up perfectly.
  4. There are tons. Search bass lure companies in google. I found a bunch. It's pretty cool seeing some of the things small businesses come up with when designing soft plastics.

You guys know what this means, right? Anderson Silva VS GSP. Possibly sometime in March of next year at Cowboys stadium in Arlington. Silva made it clear he wanted to take a break for a little while but Dana made it clear he WILL fight. If this fight happens, Im gonna be stoked. Although I still dont see anyone on the face of this earth beating Silva, GSP would have about as good a chance as anyone. Heres to hoping!!
  6. I'm taking mine tonight too. We already have this part arranged.
  7. 7" Rage anaconda followed by a Bleeding shad Red Eye Shad. Those 2 cover most all the water column AND theyre my 2 favorite baits.
  8. Not trying to jack the thread but are the gains significant in the 6 vs 8?
  9. Did anyone else catch this show? It aired saturday I believe. I love military shows of all kinds, especially if its about current affairs. Not sure how accurate the show was in regaurds to the actual event but it was entertaining none the less. It did however get me to thinking though. Without hurting anyones feelings or sounding like I am a conspiracy theorist, does anyone question if it really even happened? I am not by any means suggesting it did or did not, I think its interesting the theories people come up with. I find it extremely intriguing and entertaining. If this thread somehow interferes with forum policies I apologize.
  10. I want to try this but I dont have enough time in the world. If I lost my left hand I wouldnt even know it. It is literally there just for show. Sometimes I try and make it a point to do things left handed but I always end up switching back to my right without realizing it.....
  11. I saw this commerical while watchin the game today and thought it looked pretty good. I am not a fan of peppermint at all. In fact I never eat it. BUT, it looked so good on the tube that I will have to break diet and try it. That sounds awesome! I havent been to a Zaxbys in about 3 years but I remember it being pretty good. Might have to hit up Zaxbys as well!
  12. Being out on the road. Something about driving down some backroads with some good music relaxes the hell out of me and makes me happy no matter what is going on.
  13. I saw you holdin' that Piggy on what looked like a 2.5? in Chart/ black back. I throw the same color along with Gizzard and Green Gizzard shad in the 1.5 model and catch quality fish all day long. I have actually done better with the 1.5 than the 2.5. Give em a shot, they might earn a spot right next to those Normans.
  14. LOL Un-beateable.
  15. Rage 7" Anaconda and Rage Recon, both in GP or Falcon Lake Craw. I have more confidence in those 2 than almost any other lure on earth. If I'm fishing big worms, there is only 1. 10" Rage Thumper!

    Falcon lake rage craw.
  17. I'm surprised no one has mentioned the pit boss. Although I haven't used any small soft plastic flippin baits in a while, the pit boss in big Texan is my go to. Can't forget the rage menace either!
  18. When I'm choosing a rod for a specific technique I look at the hook VS the lure itself. rod power and length will almost always depend on lure weight and where your fishing the lure. The action is determined by the hook(s) IMO. Spinnerbaits have single hooks like Jigs, T rigs etc. So for Spinnerbaits and most single hook presentations your going to want a fast or XF tip get a solid hookup. If your fishing heavier SB's then I would stick with a MH/F so your lures will be within the rods weight range. 7' for open water fishing. 6'6" for target fishing so you can cast more accurate.
  19. They dont dive very deep, I know that for sure. I still have some un-opened in my garage. I used to follow up a slow spinnerbait bite with the floating traps and did pretty well. They work pretty well in 1-3 FOW when ran above grass and weeds.
  20. Not trying to get off topic, but Jamey Johnson gives me a tiny bit of hope for future Country artists. He is without a doubt my favorite current artist. This song IMO is amazing. d**n near gives me chills. http://youtu.be/27x9ShDEfmQ
  21. What happened to steel guitars? That IS Country music!!
  22. It is what it is. Not really my style but if you like it then more power to you.
  23. First reel- Shimano Spirex. Like holding a cinder block! First rod- Ugly stick of course! First lure- Rat-l-trap. First vehicle- 98 Chevy Blazer bought in 06. water pump went out along with all of my gauges. Cracked heads going 65 on the highway. over 2k to fix if I remember correctly. First vehicle that I purchased on my own- 2005 Dodge ram purchased in 07. black single cab hemi. Flowmaster super 44 exhuast dumped. 2 15" Rockford Fosgate p3's in a custom box built to fit behind the seats. I bet I must have bought 6 or 7 rear view mirror mounts from Autozone because the bass was so loud it would shake my rearview mirror off onto the floorboard. Man I miss that truck. Flatscreen alpine with a remote control and new speakers all the way around. The remote may sound ridiculous but it was actually pretty cool not to have to move your arm to change songs or stations lol. That truck was my life. I worked at an automotive shop doing light mechanical work and state inspections. I cant recall how many weeks I didnt get a paycheck because I was always ordering parts for my truck with the shops account and they would just take it out before cutting, or not, my check. Had it for less than a year before I had to sell it. I put nearly 20k miles on it and a little over 4 grand in 9 months. A little off topic, but am I the only one who has ever loved a vehicle this much? Makes me teary eyed thinking of all the memories that come to mind when I talk about it.
  24. Yes they will! Bass will get into some nasty thick junk and just hang out. Dont be afraid to get it in there. If it is heavily matted use atleast a 1 oz pegged weight. A small compact type plastic with good action is ideal for this so it will slide through the cover with ease. I would recommend something like a Rage Tail Menace or Berkley Pit Boss. the options are endless really.Depending on water temp a hollow bodied frog like a Booyah Pad crasher or a KVD Sexy Frog can be KILLER hopped on top of that slop. It may be a little to cold up there in WI though, I dont know. If i was you this is what I would try. 1. big 10-12" T rigged worms worked very slowly on the bottom. 2. A jig that works well in grass like an Alien head. The recessed line tie will help eliminate weeds and grass from covering the jig. Add a good size trailer like a Paca or Rage craw. Work it slowly on the bottom as well. These presentations may not get you quantity but I bet they get you quality. Good luck.
