  1. Hold a door for her, compliment something interesting she's wearing (not a body part), or ask her a question about your class. Then say "your name's >insert her name here< Righ? I'm >insert your name here<". Make very small talk, weather, anything about her. Check to see if you've been tased or maced, and/or if she's walking or running away. If none of the above have happened, walk her to her car or next class and see if she wants to get a cup of coffee, smoothie, burger etc sometime. Check to see if you've been tased or maced or if she's dialed a 9 followed by a 1.... If not, set date/time and/or get phone number. Hardest part is getting the first few words out.
  2. 100% accurate - a knife needs to be within arm's reach, easy access at all times in the kayak. Dive knives on your pfd work great. Don't put the knife in a kit. Leatherman's are great, but are probably not the best option for a snagged anchor line in current.
  3. Somebody save the rods and reels! Oh the humanity!!! Everybody ok?
  4. Matches/fire starter, dryer sheet, space blanket, band aids, roll of tape, large gauze pad, antihistamine, pain reliever, diarrhea aid, salt tablets/powdered sports drink, duct tape. PS - everything mentioned will fit in the middle of the roll of duct tape. Dry bag or quart ziplock and you're gtg.
  5. Floater + suspend dots or hook changes. You can make it do anything you want. Speed doesn't know what he's talking about (!).
  6. Usually I tighten up and squeal like a girl... But seriously, I speed up the retrieve for a couple handle turns and then kill it. If that doesn't work, soft plastic dynamite, the senko.
  7. Brown water snake. They're aggressive and actually can musk sort of like a skunk. I'm starting to wonder if some of you guys have ever actually seen a water moccasin. They're a very different critter.
  8. As a Vol, I think she's beautiful.
  9. So I'm probably going to be in the market for tandem and solo yaks for fishing. I'd like to set them up the same, so are there matching tandem/solo yaks that I could make a matched set?
  10. 410-555-5432, ask for Irene. Make sure to tell her thanks and good night.
  11. Dark rats in the dark. Nighttime is your best cover.
  12. If you're losing the tail past the t-rig, I'd guess (almost guarantee) hybrid bluegill. If it's cutting it in half between the hook point and eye, I'd guess pickerel or turtle.
  13. I'll take the mice and wasps over my angry wife...Every. Time. #shescaremebro
  14. Glad you took my advice.
  15. Bro - you're tired, and cranky. You don't just toss a newborn into a car to go live in another city open ended with no family or friend support network for your wife as she sits in a hotel all day with two kids. Would it be easier if you were younger with no responsibilities to just pick up and go? Of course it would. But I wouldn't trade my kid for that life, and I doubt you would either. Newborns are haaaaaard. Two healthy kids and steady employment is nothing to sneeze at. So hitch up your skirt go hug your wife and stop being a little ***** about it.
  16. The most deadly, most abused substance on earth killed him: testosterone. Its potency is severely increased when used around others using it in equally high doses.
  17. Neeka is my black lab, super sweet, super smart, not an aggressive bond in her body. There's a beagle mix (Ella) next door that wants to rip her face off. Ella's a sweet dog...when she's not trying to rip Neeka's face off.
  18. That's definitely a juvenile pike. Google says there's a population of them in there.
  19. That a Nats got another shortstop, even though 3 of our starting four infielders are shortstops by natural position...smh
  20. VolFan replied to Boots's topic in Fishing Tackle
Are you fishing it on braid?
  21. The Nats traded a utility infielder for a SS. Since we already have 3 SSs (Rendon, Desmond, Espinosa) starting on the infield, that made perfect sense...not sure it really affects anything.
  22. Doesn't happen much up here either, but I got into a bunch of them last Sunday in 3 ft of water on a spinnerbait. Water had some current and lot of rocks, and they were very aggressive. And I could see some great monuments from where I was standing!
