Btw... I mostly fish 1/16th oz inline spinners, t-rigged beasts weightless in heavy cover, and swimbaits. I intend to use braid, on a Citica B with upgraded spool, handle, and a sweet set of knobs.

Either cook it slowly in something sweet (dr pepper, ginger ale, job and soy sauce) or grill it rare. You could also put them snugly in a pot, add enough duck fat/butter/lard/etc to cover, and cook at around 200 degrees for a few hours. Shred that, quick hit on a griddle or hot pan just to crisp it up and off you go for tacos, omelets, etc. it's confit, and it works really really well for stuff like that and keeps for a few weeks if you leave it in the cooking fat in the fridge.

The C3s are probably your best bet, with a Cardiff close behind. The 100-sized Cardiff is a great little reel, as is the 200. Both are very easy to lube as well.

It's funny that you rarely see cheap hits like that on o-linemen, but you see it with some regularity on qbs and kickers. Some guys just feel a need to pick on the unsuspecting weaklings. Take from that what you will. I'm sure there's a psychosocial issue there or something.

I think it was a cheap shot like the "block" Warren Sapp put on Chad Clifton several years ago. Was it legal? Maybe, but that doesn't make it a good play.
