2010-The Trash is Flying and There's Still No Pennant in Chicago
I had Chipper as my utility guy on my fantasy team for the first half of the season last year. He had me pulling my hair out. At times he would be freezing cold, so I'd bench him. Of course he'd then go on a three game tear, I'd put him back in and he'd leave the game due to injury in the top of the second.

Yeah, I dont think steroids were actually BANNED when McGwire was juicin'....were they? They got banned after the fact if I remember right. I wonder if Jose Canseco is paranoid when he walks down the street? He should be. ;D Sure he does. Everyday when he leaves his home, he looks for stray flyballs. He doesn't want one to bounce off his head and land over the neighbor's fence. Once a ball goes into the old guy's yard, Jose won't be able to get it back.

2010-The Trash is Flying and There's Still No Pennant in Chicago
Well, it's that time again. Pitchers and catchers report to camp in a little more than a month. It's been a busy offseason, and there has been several major trades...one including TWO Cy Young winners! So...who made the best moves this offseason? Who tanked this offseason? Who's trade-bait, and where will they go? Any new favorites for division crowns this year? Who will make the playoffs? Wild Card winners? NL & AL champs? Trash to talk? Let's hear it. I'll start it off by saying I like the moves Seattle made this offseason; the one-two punch of Lee and Hernandez will be one of the best in the AL.

MARK McGUIRE
I darn near cried when he broke the HR record. Though his days were before my time, Roger Maris was my favorite player as a kid. I have a 63' Topps Maris my father's buddy gave me for organizing all his cards from his youth. My God...this guys had trips on everything!!! The sad thing is the guy is a coke-head, and I guarantee once he found out the value of his cards, they went right up his nose...had I know that as a kid, I would have snagged a few cards. What ticks me off most about Mac is one of his responses. He said something along the lines of 'I wish I was not playing during the steroid era, but rather a different time.' WHAT??? He really attempts to displace the blame here; it's as if he couldn't help taking the steroids, like someone was forcing him. F U mac.

Another Spine fusion, surgery scheduled for the 4th of Feb.
Good luck buddy. Lots of calcium, vitamin D, and water will aid in your recovery. Don't feel bad about the grumpiness, it comes with the territory. I had a double posterior fusion last July. In total they used two cages, four rods, and eight screws. If you ever want to chat drop me a pm, and I'll give you my phone number. Down-time can be an absolute hell.

New Crankbait rod
Amen brother. No glass here either. I was looking for a new crankin' rod last year, and found a killer deal on a couple Kistler LTA medium powered rods. I've been really happy with them for shallow to med cranks. The Spro Little John MD is a good cutoff point for the load on these sticks.

Packers vs. Cardinals
I'm not going to make excuses, because the GB D blew donkeys out there, but the blatant penalties that were not called against the cards really made a difference. Cullen Jenkins getting called for holding on Fitz's td was ridiculous...should have been holding on the O. Two bad calls in OT, as Rodgers got a helmet in the head on one play, and an obvious facemask on the last play of the game. Teddy Thompson I hope you're listening, because a few DB's, OT's, a new kicker, and someone to take Hawk's spot are necessary. I honestly think, with the right moves, GB will be a SB favorite next year.

Packers vs. Cardinals
I think it will be a lot closer than some people think...Green Bay wins.

Curado E7 or E5?
Sorry for the jack, but I still don't understand why such a popular reel doesn't have a 6.x:1 model.

new bps crankin sticks or ?
If you can get away with the longer rod, go for it. You'll be able to make longer casts, thus keeping your bait in the strike-zone longer.

Shimano Calais or Daiwa Zillion
Shimano believes we were all wiped-out in the Great Southpaw Influenza. As for the OP, the Calais is in a different league when compared to the Zillion. The Shimano Calcutta TE, DC, and Conquest are worth a look too.

Custom Painting - How important?
I have to agree with you on the selection of colors on the RC's. LC has a ton of awesome color selections, and I'd love to see some on the Clunn's. The new tomato shad, perch, and craw patterns are a step in the right direction.

Walk the Dog Baits
Another vote for LC's Sammy and Gunfish, the Spittin' Image, and Megabass Giant Dog-X. Last summer I had a blast walking the XCalibur ZellPop in the 1/4oz size.

Three Stooges Marathon
All day and night, New Year's Eve, AMC. I'm still recovering from back surgery, and won't be able to make it out that evening, so at least I'll be able to drown my sorrows in the Stooges. Usually my brother and I dress in full matching tuxedos, with tails, top hats, white gloves, black cane with white tips, monocles, and black handlebar moustaches. We look like a younger Monopoly guy. We usually go bar-hopping in Milwaukee all evening/morning and get sloppy.
