  1. Great to hear. If you can't fish, the next best thing is BR.
  2. Why shovel before the snow ends? If your shoveling, I'm guessing 4 or 6 inches at a time is easier than 24 after it's done. Nah, just a waste of time. I see you stocked-up on crack this winter.
  3. Some of the hook-up, puking, and messages to ex's made me laugh out loud. ;D
  4. I really hope I am able to make this trip. I also hope Madison wins, though I'll be happy anywhere. As a kid, the chain was pretty much where I learned to ice-fish. Another reason I want to go is to check-out Koop's Dobyns rods. I have never even held one, and am interested in purchasing a few; if I have a chance to see them before buying them, then all the better. 8-)
  5. Yup, my favorites box was full. It only allows for twenty threads. Bummer. Thanks guys. 8-)
  6. How is it labeled? I'll be danged, I don't have that feature any more...oh, wait, perhaps mine is full and will not accept more. I'll check
  7. How is it labeled?
  8. Well, actually that may have been my problem, I got by using my MH fast action rod. Now I have a dedicated rod- a 6'6" St Croix glass crankbait rod. I haven't fished it, but I have thrown a practice plug with it and it seems to load up and really peel line off. I am using a Citica 201e. Do you think the rod will make that much of a difference? Without a doubt. Most MH fast rods will not properly load with a 1/4oz crank.
  9. Same here, though I usually listen to the Brewers game on the radio. Once in awhile the local oldies or country station get play as well, but at a low volume...unless I'm drunk, then I get carried away.
  10. I just noticed that there is a notification option. Is this in lieu of favorites? I ask because I still have favorites, as well as notifications, as options on my user CP, though the option to select a thread as a fav is not there. Am I simply missing it?
  11. Prayers for a full recovery. I always get excited when he posts pics...great gear and nice fish too.
  12. I cannot find the option to mark a thread as a favorite. Has it been moved, or perhaps removed? I used the search function, but could not find anything.
  13. The BCR's will blow your mind. It is well worth the extra dough. If you want a dedicated jig/worm rod, one from this series is the way to go. If you plan on fishing jigs more than plastics, and fish a lot of cover, the 854 will be great. If you plan on fishing moderate to sparse cover, the 853 will be a better all-around stick.
  14. With the right rod/reel/line, a 1/4oz crank is no problem.
  15. Atta boy. I do during the waterfowl season.
  16. Apparently a Packers fan has announced he will return to drinking. ;D http://www.theonion.com/content/video/packers_fan_announces_he_will
  17. Nope, I'm in Franksville. I could be 2,000 miles from home and I still tell people Franksville, rather than Racine, Mil-town, etc. ;D With all these dang yuppie subdivisions, it's beginning to feel like the city. I knew we were in trouble when the speed limit on our road went from 55 to 30. :'(
  18. Yup. I have to replace the weed guard on about 80% of the ones I purchased. Nice jig otherwise.
  19. Where are you at? I am in rural Racine Co., a little east of I-94.
  20. You should forward that photo to your insurance agent. Beautiful collection. Congrats.
  21. It's not that I hate high-speed reels, but I am getting sick of them dominating the market. The 6.x:1 reel has gone the way of the dodo. > Also, it's much easier for me to speed-up than slow-down...I just get too dang excited when I fish.
  22. I wasn't aware that Shimano was selling the chronic. ;D Free bump.
  23. Here's a great one: http://www.thenextbite.com/forum/135
  24. This is the first time I've seen this thread. Sounds like a great idea. 8-) I wouldn't be able to give a conformation until much closer to the date; it all depends on how my body is doing. I'm recovering from spinal surgery, so unfortunately I have to play it by ear.
  25. I love the stuff. I've had great experiences with all of their lines except the fluoro, simply because I haven't used it. It is quite supple, and makes for a great crankin' line. A few weeks back I got a smokin' deal on a bulk spool of green AN40 in the Bargain Cave. I plan on using it on my slib-bobber rods this spring. This deal saved me a nice chunk of dough, as I usually spool Magnathin on my slip-sticks.
