I, like others, was going to keep my mouth shut. After reading various fishing forums, visually seeing his mugshot from a previous theft arrest, etc., it's obvious this is the same guy. As others have said, you reach a certain point where surgery is the only option; and it still is a difficult decision. One thing that will come in handy is a grabber/grappler device. It was a life-saver after my procedure. God bless and prayers for all involved. Make sure she really boosts her calcium and vitamin D intake after surgery. You can get a Powell delivered to your door from TW, and not exceed your price range. I would definitely go with a casting rod. If you're new to casting rods, a cranking rod is a good place to start. Cranks usually cast well, especially some of the new baits with weight-transfer systems. A seven foot rod, in a medium or medium heavy power, will do the trick.

I'm not sure if his line of BPS reels have been updated since they were first introduced. Either way, at the very least, the first run of these reels are junk. Crap reels + skis = trouble, cussing, lost fish, lost baits, partner thrown overboard, etc...
