Around here a lot of walleye guys and gals fish them on a leadhead jig, with the hook exposed.

This topic makes me think back to when I was a kid, and the goldfish won at carnivals. How many of you out there remember someone winning one of these fish, putting it in with their own fish at home, and finding them all dead first thing the next morning? Goldfish are sickly creatures. Although the conditions at the carnival (sitting in those tight bags, and in the sun) probably doesn't help.

Back in my dorm days, my roommate and I would each pop a couple of his sleeping pills and split a sixer. We would call it Elvis night, with the pills and alcohol and all. No Elvis music, just getting trashed. The night before we all left for Thanksgiving break, we had an Elvis night. It got so freakin' out-of-control, that later we banned Elvis night for good.

I knew a guy in hish-school who stole a Deaf Child Area sign. After word got out, and all the girls knew, he got no play for months.

There's quite a few old home remedies for acne. Dabbing fresh lemon juice or toothpaste on a blemish can work as well. Apple cider vinegar is a good all-around cleanser, and quite safe.

I'm a big fan of the buzzbaits. Not sure where to locate some besides fleabay. I caught my PR largemouth on one of the buzzbaits. To date, I have lost only one fish on the original Leverage buzzbait.

I'd need a lake too, oh, and some hard liquor. I wouldn't be able to black-out and beat one of the strippers with just beer. On topic, I'm a big Pearl Jam fan, so it was cool to see Eddie Vedder do the soundtrack.

I do most of my casting off of our dock. The majority of the time I am casting into open water, so I prefer unpegged.

Definitely get some bigger hooks. I'd use either a 3/0 or 4/0; a 1/0 hook is just too small for a four inch tube. I love tube fishing, and usually have one T-rigged and ready to go at all times. They just seem to work for me quite consistently. This spring I really want to focus on beefing-up my tube arsenal.

I caught my PR walleye on the first cast with a Glass Husky Jerk. I heard the hype about the new glass patterns all winter long the year before, so I bought a few for a specific walleye trip my buds and I take each Spring. One night during that trip I literally opened the package of a glass #10 HJ on the boat, tied it on, and caught a very nice walleye. Pretty cool.

I agree with J Franco and Raul. I use my Sol for finesse jigs the majority of time it's on the water. In fact, I love the fact that the IPT is a few numbers slower, as this prevents me from over-working my bait. If I'm going finesse, which is a lot of the time, I'm going slow. The slower reel helps me in this capacity.

When I'm deadsticking/slowly sweeping jerks in cold water, or just straight cranking them, I like a soft rod. Any other time, I like a minimum of a fast rod. I picked-up a LTA He59MHC last fall for Staysees and larger Pointers.
