Gulp Alive -- what works?
You are in WI, correct? I ask because I am going to buy a pint of minnows for 'eyes this spring. I'll be fishing them on leadheads. I can only afford one, but have been torn between the smelt and black shad colors. I'm leaning towards smelt because the color resembles a lot of the minnows that we use for 'eyes. Any thoughts? Three or four inch?

2009 The Pennants are flying and the Trash is almost in view!
Your right. All my buddies are in fantasy football, but I can't bring myself to do it. I simply can't bring myself to cheering for Adrian Peterson because he's on my squad, all the while as a die hard Packer fan. No way. My buds were getting a league together, and I bit. I have waaaay too much free time on my hands, and this will give me something to do. I'm awaiting spinal surgery, and can't really do too much besides surf online, buy tackle, and work on my equipment. The fantasy league will help kill the monotony of having nothing to do.

2009 The Pennants are flying and the Trash is almost in view!
Is anyone in a fantasy baseball league? This will be my first season. We are holding our draft this sunday, any tips, pointers, things to watch for, etc? Has anyone already drafted a roster this year? How did it go?

walleye crank baits
I'll second Smithwick Rouges, anything by Reef Runner, Husky Jerks, and Shad Raps. Grappler Shads, Slender Pointers, Wally Divers, and Count Down Rapalas are also worth a long look. BTW, what pattern is that you have in your fish pic T-rig?

Suffix Elite.
Exactly! I'm confident you'll love it! I've been using Suffix Braid on my spinning rods for a couple years now and just switched up to braid on one of my flippin sticks too! I like the Sufix Braid better than Power Pro! Could you compare/contrast the braid vs PP? Thanks.

It's a shame to hear about your loss Hoss. I'm sure sure will be greatly missed.

T.O. cut by the Cowboys
Perhaps T.O. really is a humanitarian, and wants to let Scott Norwood off the hook as the most infamous player in Bills history. Yup that's it. I'm sure the two had a nice dinner and chat the day before T.O. signed. What a guy.

Good Deal on (NEW) Quantum Tour and Energy PT Reels
Buy with confidence. I purchased a BCR852 GLX from them a few years back. Eveything went very smoothly.

Weird Band Names
Needed more cowbell, the wombats anything with "experience" in the title backstreet boys n'sync (sorry had to bring them up what kind of names were those anyways?) -gk I believe you're thinking about Blue Oyster Cult. SAC did Incense and Peppermints.

St Croix Mojo Bass thoughts
I too saw them for the first time yesterday. I briefly handled the 7'MHC. I gotta say, for less than bill...not too shabby. A bit tip-heavy, but I kinda figured that even before I saw them. For the budget-minded angler, these look like a fantastic option. I may pick up a few for loaner rigs. Every time I hand a TD-Z/GLX combo to a friend who doesn't fish but once every few years...well, it's tuff to watch.

Late Night with Jimmy Fallon
Is it just me, or does Conan seem like he'd be a royal d*ck off-camera? I'll be sticking with KOTH as well. Bill getting hit in nuts, maimed by a falcon, or getting his head stuck under the couch never gets old.

where do you work?
I'm his driver. It's not not a bad gig: the money's right, and I get all the cognac I can drink.

How's this for a skipping rod?
I'd go with the X-fast. I think you'll be very pleased.

There is a rumor going around that trutungsten is going under
Which ones do you own and use? Review please. I live not as far North as you and I am wondering how they work with the Northern Strain of LMB I can't put out a review because I bought 2 late in the season last year. I took them out to a pond which I usually go to for testing new lures and I managed to catch a couple bass. They catch fish, but I'm still not sure how to use them really. All the lakes up in Ontario have a lot of pike so I hope I don't lose one before catching any LMB. I'm a bit worried about the pike situation as well. You might want to give a heavy fluoro leader a shot.

Of All The New Baits by Netbait This Year, What One Do You Like The Most?
I don't know where too start, seeing as they haven't updated their website since 05'.

6.3 or 7.1 reels
Thought I'd add that any medium powered rod I use for plastics/jigs has a 5.8:1. I like a reel with a few inches per turn less than the faster reels, for these rods. If I'm fishing with a medium powered rod, it's generally a finesse presentation. The slower reel helps me slow down, and not over-work my bait.

RoboWorms
I'm going to try the FX Sculpins on leadheads this year for walleye.
