  1. 'What is your favorite topwater' is a fairly common topic here. The G-Splash doesn't get much press and I'm curious as to why? Did Lucky Craft swing and miss with this one; perhaps a foul tip? I've bought several of these baits, in both sizes, over the last few months, but I won't be able to give them a go until we thaw out.
  2. Happy Cake Day. I made my fishing partner puke on his twenty-first with a shot of Crown. On my twenty-first, I vaguely remember ralphing in the middle of Main St. in a town of about 100,000. Ah memories. My buddies were wicked that night. Every shot I had was horrific. Like scotch with pepper and hotsauce, or the 'mat shot' (this is where they pour the liquid from the mixing mat into a shot glass), and so on. All I was allowed to chase with was this nasty, dust covered merlot that I swear the owner must have bought at a rummage sale.
  3. Do a search and you'll have enough reading material to last until the thaw. It seems people are on both sides with this pattern; some think it's clever marketing, and others truly do have a lot of confidence with these baits. One thing's for sure, darn near every hardbait manufacturer has a Sexy Shad pattern for 09'.
  4. The snuggie looks like a cult robe. I could totally see the camera cut to a scene where the family is sacrificing Grandma, or a scene where the whole family is dead on the living room floor, all wearing matching hightops.
  5. If you are going to be doing a lot of casting, rather than vertical work, I'd go with the larger size. You'll get increased distance and better line management.
  6. Loomis makes a 5'6" MH rod in the Mossyback series. I wish they would produce one in the GLX line. I'd love one for beatin' the banks.
  7. When your ba%%s have dropped, but still don't touch the toilet water. ;D
  8. Triton's right, the oldies are the goodies. IMO there is no comparison. The old model flat out smokes the post-Rapala sticks.
  9. Plenty of times. I went to college on the IN/KY border. Most of my buds were from TN and KY, so we took roadtrips quite often. I just don't care for her voice, too fake and forced for me, and I'm a sucker for southern girls. It's like she's saying to herself, 'ok now, sound country, sound country.' Yea, a lot of the ladies in these parts have a feed bag as part of the dowry. ;D Don't get me wrong, I love curves and hips, but there is a point.....
  10. I don't own an Ipod, so if i'm listening to music on the water it's the local oldies or country station. Most of the time I don't have the radio on, unless there's a Brewers game or NASCAR race on.
  11. Give the Daiwa Sol a look. Fantastic reel, plus you'll have one of the best lookin' rigs on the lake. 4/15 or 6/20 Power Pro will do the job.
  12. I like the frog pattern, but I'm partial to green anyhow. I bought a couple several years ago, fished them once, caught a fish on both and put them away. They're just about too cool to fish! However, I fished the lure with CJ and ghoti on Kentucky Lake last summer and caught several bass. You won't be diasappointed. 8-) I bought a few Pop-Max's over the holidays and can't wait to get them wet. I picked up one in Cicada, PM Bass, and Spook Killer. I have a few Pop-X's on my short list: GG Black Bug, Moth, and School Bait. Down monkey, down.
  13. Trevor Hoffman to the Crew: http://milwaukee.brewers.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090108&content_id=3736591&vkey=news_mil&fext=.jsp&c_id=mil
  14. I honestly don't understand how people listen to her. She has the most fake, forced, purposely twangy singing voice I've ever heard. I agree with Glenn on Ms. Underwood. Every song sounds about the same. She wears waaay too much makeup as well. I bet I could carve my initials in the foundation on her face.
  15. I saw Stevie Wonder for the first time in my life last summer. Without a doubt, his voice is still very clean. Stevie is timeless. I mean he wasn't dancin' like Little Stevie Wonder, but he sure sounded like him.
  16. I heard Johnny Estrada is available. ;D
  17. Can the KVD stuff be used like the Reel Magic to clean reels, rods, guns, etc? Does the KVD dry with no scent or residue?
  18. What patterns have been productive in the Pop-Max for you RW? Any luck with the Pop-X?
  19. Come on guys. I know some of you must have some experience with these jigs.
  20. Is the SW still open in New Berlin?
  21. I was thinking about picking up a few 1/4oz Original jigs. For those who fish these, how well does the skirt flair underwater? Any other comments?
  22. Well, looks like MB is going to be a chubby. To paraphrase another Crew fan, I wonder if Wrigley is going to host a steel cage death match between Zambrano and Bradley. I was thinking Dennis Rodman could be the guest referee.
  23. I've heard a few people complain about the Swamp Donkey taking on water. Anyone had this problem?
  24. One of my favs too. The headset makes me chuckle too Tony. I guess he thinks he's at the state fair.
  25. I saw this commercial on late-night tv. "You'll love my nuts." ;D What a knob.
