  1. $300 = New rod: Casting probably a fenwick or st.criox New reel: AbuGarcia for sure
  2. I would rather cross the lake in a 30hp rather than a 10hp. But with size comes weight.
  3. please explain.
  4. only problem with a jon boat is u cant put a large outboard on them. But they are cheap, easy to modify and work well for the average bass fisherman
  5. I dont use them, they screw up the action of the lure, and i can make the lure wobble alot more with a normal not
  6. rainbow trout are goin to spawn in the spring and will be in the creeks and rivers right now, try roe (salmon or trout eggs), worms, and spinners.
  7. Sturgeon some where around 300lbs Chinook Salmon 62lbs Coho salmon 23lbs Steelhead 12lbs Bass 6lbs Trout 5lbs
  8. Gibbs croc by far, spinners i have to say bluefox. I'm from BC Canada i know this stuff better than most.
  9. Stick with AbuGarcia, way better! ;D just an opinion
  10. AbuGarcia Max pro edition, just arrived and i love it AbuGarcia Revo AbuGarcia EXT AbuGarcia 5500C3 AbuGarcia 6500C3 I've used shimano, quantum, Diawa, and okuma, but nothin stands up to wear and tear like an abu, they are like a rock man, haven't been spooled on a fish yet, whether it be salmon, steelhead, bass, trout. And i haven't had to replace or repair any of my reels. love them all
  11. on average how many do u loose, thats why i started making my own cus i lost 4 rapalas in a day and i was choked so i said no more of that, now my cranks cost like $1 instead of $4
  12. summer craw i like for clear water or on a hot day, fish them on a jig or texas style. Okachobee i'd fish on the spinnerbait or skirted jig to give it a little extra flash and body
  13. rig it on a spinner bait, plain jig, skirted jig, buzzbait or texas style this thing works, its a good bait, and comes in alot of good colours
  14. I'm using homemades, with a metal lip and a white pine body, really tough, the metal on wood or rocks works just as good for me, mabey the fish are stupid. I've weighted them so they just barely start to float back to the surface so i make contact pause for about 5 secs then keep goin.
  15. I'm kinda new to the sport and have done well in my area because of low pressure but when things get tough i kinda wanna know what u pro's like so i can try it. Any tips or hints on your favourite lure is appreciated
  16. What type of structure do u bounce your cranks off, and what structure should you stay away from? I find that big rocks, logs, and dock pilings to be the best. I dont like fishing tree tops and thick weeds, but i've seen some really good guys manage it and pull some really big bass out of there. Opinions and thoughts welcome

i copied the flat sided shad looking bait, one of your older baits, in green and firetiger. I have 5 of them made i just need to paint and then tune them. Anything i should know about them
  18. once again i'm drooling at the quality of your baits, i've made 10 everything is dried, they just need a paint job and i'm afraid to do it cus i dont wanna screw it up
  19. very funny, no, but i can fish any clarity or depth of water i want. take that in consideration and it doesn't sound like a bad idea, no i wouldn't change every time i change a bait but i would put a line on that would suite the conditions
  20. I'd be bringing my 7ft G.Loomis GLX casting rod Heavy with my AbuGarcia EXT. U never said home many lines, so i'd bring a 12lb mono, 15lb mono, 30lb braid Baits: 1) senko 2) rapala shad rap 3) rapala skitter pop 4) top water scum frog 5) Booya blade spinner bait

thats kinda what i did, i put a golb on the hook holder and twisted/shuved in, then pulled out and put more in, fill almost to the top then put the holder in, there's excess but atleast i know it'll hold. You two guys are a huge help, without ur help there would have been alot of trial and error, does curving the lip a little help in diving ability? Big M i hope u dont mind but i used the shape off one of ur flat sided cranks and angle for the lip. I made it a little thinner from back to belly, and i made the lip shorter so it runs shallow. I'm hoping in the 4 foot range.
  22. I've got 2 cranks drying (epoxy) painting will soon come in.
  23. you're a big help, thankyou very much

thanks, would a needle work though, like one with a big nozle seems like it would be easier.
  25. how and what do u use to give u a template for the backs of baits
