Lake Erie Spots?
In my opinion the fish their are residential and never leave the bay. Though true giants like 6lbers are super rare in the bay. But I catch good numbers of 3 pounders there year round

Why Do You Sort Out For Fishing Tournaments??
our club has non boat owners fish them with us and they complete against boaters all the same. its done randomly so its fair, who ever draws run order number one two and three get the riders... I fished the club for two years before I owned my boat and it was an awesome experience. though some guys make it rough most are very nice and help out great. I suggest trying it cuz u wont just learn fishing techniques ull learn great ways to catch a good sack of tournament quality bass. I still fish as a rider if we go to a lake ive never been to before or if my boat is in the shop...

River Smallmouth
I fish the ohio at the start in Pittsburgh. its super tough there. the only thing Ive had luck on were small jigs trailered by a micro craw. try a strike king bitsy bug. and in the summer mornings ive had good days around bridge pilings using a crankbait. a rapala dt4 in red crawdad works for me. that is if I can keep the walleye off of it

Lake Erie Spots?
the best and most constant fishing there I ever found was always inside the bay. usually the big schools of smallies move all around the bay but they are there. I always fish around rock piles and anything different on the bottom. and after 20 or so fish the big ones show up somewhere. I don't waste my time on the main lake anymore. had too many days of getting caught out there in the wind and had a good many days of inconstant fishing.

Curwensville Lunker Tournament?
I don't think they have big bass tournaments here any more. if they do they are quiet about them.

Centre County Bassmasters / Pfbc Sayers Project
holy heck that's a good bag there.... we had a club tournament there 4 or 5 years ago and the winner only weighted 4 fish for 6 lb and no one had a limit.... we never went back. Ive been there a few times since and always had decent days...

Crankbait Recommendations
Fav square ill is a kvd 1.5 Fav shallow diver is a rapala dt4 or dt6 depending on depth Fav crank bait for 10 ft would be a rapala dt10 or strike king series 5 When water gets deep around 15 feet I like strike king series 5xd. Anything deeper than that I like a bomber fat free shad. And for water deeper than ten feet I use a lunar Jensen hot lips 20+

Affordable Versatile Casting Rod?
thanks for the advice. im looking for a cheaper rod tho. I really like those cumara rods but I don't wanna invest 260 dollars in a rod that will more often than not will be riding around the lake in my rod box. I just want an affordable rod that is versatile enough to handle just about anything I wanna throw for bass.... I was looking at the duckett micromagic rods. but I don't know the quality of them and they are more expensive than what I wanna pay

Glendale Lake Help

Glendale Lake Help
naw... like I said I cant use my big motor so I only fish club tournaments there... entry fee was way too much for me to try to place in the money while only using my trolling motor. especially in the wind we had today.... my uncle fished it but only weighted four fish

How Long Do You Fish A Spot Before Moving?
every time I fish I have a game plan. so if I decided to fish a certain spot I already have an idea of what ill throw. usually a crankbait and a jig..... so if im not in a tournament. when I get to the spot I already have an idea what im going to use to catch them. if I get nothing. I go to my secondary bait usually a jig or texas rig plastic. something slow..... still nothing and starting to run out of confidence I will always try something completely out of the ordinary or a bait im trying to get to learn. right now that's the umbrella rig for me..... always be random and choose a bait that u typically wouldn't use. two reasons. it could turn a bad day into a great day and if it does work itll give you more experience with a bait your not really confident in and that will make a much better angler in the long run.

Glendale Lake Help
go north up the lake toward the flagpole lunch. throw senkos around the peninsula that is there.. also at the no fishing bouys at the marina on the way up to that lunch throw a jig on the bottom. there are giant boulders on the bottom right under the buoys.... I fish Glendale a lot and my boat has a 40hp so im stuck using my trolling motor too..... I work my way up to the causeway.. try to make it there in four hours then fish crankbaits out deeper on your way back

What's Your Go To Lure/ Rig
I have two go to lures..... if the bass are chasing then I love to use a rapala dt4.... if there more sluggish and I need to work for bites my all time go to lure is a texas rigged zoom brush hog in watermelonseed color.

Affordable Versatile Casting Rod?
Hi, im currently looking for a new rod. while fishing it seems like im always in the need of one more rod whether itd be casting a different color crankbait. or depth. or a back up rod for pitching and flipping... I have two cranking rods. a flipping stick, a jerkbait/ topwater rod, a spinnerbait rod, a swimbait rod and a jig rod. even with all these rods I am always thinking id be nice to have one more rod that I can use just about any lure on. does anyone have any suggestions of a very nice and versatile rod for less than 130 dollars? any comments or suggestions would be very appreciated. thanks

Best Smallie Deep Crank?
i love using rapala DT10s in a bluegill or shad color in clear water to pull out some hawg smallmouths.. for deeper water than 10 feet i really like the strike king 5XD. i have best success with the 5xd when the water is super clear and i use a ghost sexy shad color. its a great way to get 4 to 6 pounders out from the deep

Pennsylvania Small Mouth

Hey Boys
We had a warm winter up here in PA, ive finally found some fish in deep water. I caught them on a five inch senko wacky rig. i was using a 1/16 ounce wieghted wacky hook which cuz the bait to fall alittle bit faster than and unweighted senko. this was key... i had to really be patient and get the bait down to 20-30 feet before i got the bite. i caught 4 largemouth biggest was about 2.5lb and one smallie on it all around steep rock bluff walls in 45 feet water

Do Bass Fisherman Use Humminbird Side Image?
I use mine non stop for bass. though i never had problems with the mounting though. I completely rely on my sideimaging for bass tournaments. It will show me specific spots on spots if that makes sense. i use it to scan points and flats for key sweetspots such as stumps and boulders. In the summer i can actually see schools of bass on ledges and creekchannels. if the bass arent super shallow i dont know how i could ever fish deep again with out my side imaging unit
