Weighing Bass?
Scaleface I have that same problem! I just ordered a scale. I "gussetimate" the weight and then measure them. It seems that I always estimate under the weight suggested by the measured length. After many years of saying I'm going to buy a scale......I did. It will be good to know the truth. Maybe I'll even get to brag a little.

Bilge Smells Like Rotten Eggs.
I saw a battery blow up. It sounded like a grenade. The guy was jumping a car when it happened. He was covered with acid including his face and eyes. Be very careful especially if you have the battery on charge.

Humminbird 998 Or 999
I just did the same thing the OP is going to do. I put my 798 on the front deck and I put my 999 on the console. BTW I also took advantage of the internet prices and the rebate.

Down Scanning Fish Finder
Just an FYI. Hummingbird has rebates on some 900 and 1100 series units. I just bought a 999 and I'll get a $200 rebate.

Jon Boat Deck
You have me concerned. I used PT. I did put a few coats of paint on it but I have no doubt the paint is worn at the points it touching the boat. I have never tried to pull it up.

Help With Mounting Transducer
I have mounted 4 or 5 transducers on aluminum boats. I squeeze silicon into the hole and then coat the screw and tighten it up. I have never had one leak. If I changed transducer mounts and cannot use the original holes I put the screws back into the original holes with the silicon and never had one of them leak. I like silicon a lot better that epoxy because you can remove it.

Awesome Deal... To Good To Be True?
I do not know how Canada handles boat transfers but as Slonezp said make sure she has the title. The boat and trailer are in her name. And the title is clear with no liens. Lets hope she is not rying to get one over on her ex-husband.

Shipping Problems
Can you verify the delivery address they have? I had a similar situation except that I was the person receiving the package. I forget if it was UPS or the USPS but they had a record of delivery. It seems they inverted some numbers and delivered it to a house a few blocks away.

Canoe Fishing
I extended the battery cable on my trolling motor so that I can keep the battery in the front of the canoe to hold the bow down in the wind. It makes a difference.

Sandy May Create Havoc In The Ne!
They are forecasting it will turn NW and head right for Delaware Bay. That is not good for the Jersey shore or Philadelphia.

How Do You Keep Your Hands Warm?
SealSkinz makes a fingerless glove that is great for fishing. I also have a pair of wool fingerless gloves. Wool stays relatively warm even when wet. BTW I usually have two pair with me. I change pairs if one gets wet.

LED nav lights.
I'll might try that but they charged me $10 for shipping and if I go with bigger bulbs then it's another $25 with shipping. BTW the foil did not work.

LED nav lights.
Maybe I'll try a little reflecting foil in the top of the light fixture to provide more light.

LED nav lights.
I got the first one with the 9 LEDs. I was worried about clearence in the light housing. BTW I was surprised to see that the bulbs are polarity sensitive.

LED nav lights.
My lights use the 906 base bulb and the only option was "bright white". I compared it to the regular bulb and LED was no where near as bright.

LED nav lights.
I saw the positive statements in this thread so I purchased a set for my nav lights and I am disappointed. They are half as bright as my regular filament bulbs, the green nav light shows up as blue and with shipping they cost me $25.00.
