Great story Brett and I support his theory Club events are fun And much to learn
  3. Funny, thanks I'm gonna try to translate the question I didn't see anything about artificial on here but during early spring do you think this (spring cold rain) is a turnoff to bass? Yeah I can't get it!
  4. Not a fan but a guy in my club wins alot of money with a white one. I had the same problem with hooksets, so maybe I'll try it exposed Great diagram too!
  5. I have an antique lure book that has a shiner inside a test tube with hooks attached so the shiner is reusable
  6. I agree --every company is jumping on the bandwagon to cash in on a new trend. Also I think jointed crankbaits are confused with hard swimbaits. I disagree that swimbaits are 10" though, but I do agree that they are over 6"
  7. X2 --well said to me the biggest difference is where to find them points and deep flats sometimes they like baits really fast and sometimes they like it to be still and somtimes both There is great info on the Smmouth forum so keep reading and find your nitch. Master 2 techniques first until your confidence is through the roof then expand Look at favorite SM lures and pick a couple I'm jealous of Tenn.
  8. I can meet you there to show you the ropes any night after 6. Hock- park at magnet school Scantic- park at the dirt spot or road at the farmers property--he lets us Use light line to cast far Pack a peace for the Hock. (you know why) You will lose alot of lures too

  11. One of those spots has a higher probability of producing bigger bass than the rest of the lake It may or may not be there but I'm helping him to start Call it sticking your neck out If you want to chop it off here it is
  12. No way to certainly tell but I'll go out on a limb I guess no one else here has book smarts I know bass can't read but here goes I like the left bank especially if it has trees I like the 90 deg. point at the south end near the road I like the 12' dark blue line near shore midlake I like the 14' mark midlake where the 2 points underwater meet the 14' belly across from the map key I especially like the south end of right hand island near the 10' mark in the north part of the lake On the right side above the map key, I like the cove area where the two underwater points almost meet in 8' of water I like all of the dikes especially if they have rip rap Also on the north end I like the small cove on the left from shallow to deep water as the sun rises Also look for the deepest trees and weeds and grass near trees That is the textbook way I hope this helped and Good Luck
