Sluggos
without salt, would a senko float? or suspend? I use bubble gum sluggos in the spring for schoolie stripers and catch an occasional smallmouth in the CT river
-
Craw Color Choice
I use black and blue in the bushes in the spring and brown in open or deepwater in the summer It has to do more with the color of the cover for me

Jig retrieve speed
I do a lift and fall technique with my rod so maybe 2' hops or drags the only time I shake is when there is cover I want to exploit more Maybe 1-2 seconds per lift so its not that slow If its a tough bite I do more soft plastic techniques

Sponsorship?
I would take the sponsor for the time being until a better company came around or the money was real good. Do you think Aaron Martins uses a Ditch Witch? No he is doing the company a favor by advertising it.

Repair plastic baits with a lighter?
I've also been repairing senkos and creature baits for years. When they get too spent (beyond repair) I customize new baits like putting 2 creature heads together or making a really long senko

Bass Being Massacred In Colorado
I am appaulled. that is outragous. Sound like the best smallmouth river in the US and they're trashing it for suckers---who fishes for those? Sounds like a good place for a picket or rally Get us an email address and we'll overwelm them with outrage Bass Times does alot of environmental issues--maybe they would do an article on it

Fly rod
did you google it? I can tell you one thing because I have several bamboo rods---the worst place for it is in the attic and basement. The extreme temps and moisture make it brittle which could be why the wraps are failing. I suggest bringing it to a fly shop and ask them to examine the cond of the rod. Great find!!!
-
Vanish Trainsition Gold?
it disappears a couple feet underwater---this means if your lure is near the surface, the fish see the bright, bright, bright gold

Need Help On Trip Destination
Any and all Never fished them but as you know they all have the potential. You can go to any one and be thrilled or disappointed--thats just fishing So my suggestion is go to the place with the best guides or the place where you have the most info about. See if someone from the site who has been fishing these lakes for years is willing to set you up so you have the best chance of being thrilled.
