  1. without salt, would a senko float? or suspend? I use bubble gum sluggos in the spring for schoolie stripers and catch an occasional smallmouth in the CT river
  2. I use black and blue in the bushes in the spring and brown in open or deepwater in the summer It has to do more with the color of the cover for me
  3. I have never had a jig last long enough to rust. : Oh thats why some jigs rust--I just learned something
  4. I do a lift and fall technique with my rod so maybe 2' hops or drags the only time I shake is when there is cover I want to exploit more Maybe 1-2 seconds per lift so its not that slow If its a tough bite I do more soft plastic techniques

I would take the sponsor for the time being until a better company came around or the money was real good. Do you think Aaron Martins uses a Ditch Witch? No he is doing the company a favor by advertising it.
  6. No can do during the week sorry
  7. One more thing, I don't hear alot of talk here on the non name brands. Who else uses BPS hooks or cranks?
  8. I start off with name brands and when they prove effective, I try to find a cheaper replacement The problem is some colors aren't avail. in other brands And yes color is imp. to me
  9. I've also been repairing senkos and creature baits for years. When they get too spent (beyond repair) I customize new baits like putting 2 creature heads together or making a really long senko
  10. I am appaulled. that is outragous. Sound like the best smallmouth river in the US and they're trashing it for suckers---who fishes for those? Sounds like a good place for a picket or rally Get us an email address and we'll overwelm them with outrage Bass Times does alot of environmental issues--maybe they would do an article on it
  11. nice bass
  12. nice bass, pics and illustrations
  13. The only reason they are not extinct is because people don't like to eat them
  14. Looks like a gimmick to me mostly for panfish I would guess slow or fast retrieve, maybe twich as you reel Let it sink to desired water column and reel or let it sit on the bottom and jerk up and let it sink again
  15. strike king 3X plastics float
  16. Look up senkos normally you put a hookin the center of a senko and cast it and let it sink on slack line My fav. technique
  17. thats a shady story Really cool lure though--I'd try them
  18. did you google it? I can tell you one thing because I have several bamboo rods---the worst place for it is in the attic and basement. The extreme temps and moisture make it brittle which could be why the wraps are failing. I suggest bringing it to a fly shop and ask them to examine the cond of the rod. Great find!!!
  19. it disappears a couple feet underwater---this means if your lure is near the surface, the fish see the bright, bright, bright gold
  20. Hopefully its the best fishing experience of your life. Good luck
  21. Plastic works fine so I see no reason to switch
  22. I put my daughter in my backpack and walk he shore all summer. At 15 months, sha was able to say "fishy" During the week is from shore and on the weekends from a boat. I power fish the bank-- cast and move so I can cover more water until I find some quality fish or cover worth stopping for. I like to throw texas rig so I can chuck it far
  23. Any and all Never fished them but as you know they all have the potential. You can go to any one and be thrilled or disappointed--thats just fishing So my suggestion is go to the place with the best guides or the place where you have the most info about. See if someone from the site who has been fishing these lakes for years is willing to set you up so you have the best chance of being thrilled.
