Knot Strength
i know i may be a young fella but i've learned some interesting things about theese knots. although they may be rated for breaking strength and all, what most knots fail at is 'shock'. the reason why the polamar knot reduces so much in floro is because it kinda cuts into itself, and when set- it breaks cause of a kink in the floro. the knot i've learned to use for all applications is the uni..it's the knot that is specified for tying with floro and also the double uni is for superlines. so i also tie my mono with it just varing the amounts of loops i make. it is by far the best knot i've tried because when you set the hook it actually just gets tighter and doesn't dig into itself.

spinnerbait combo
there's a lot of options..because a spinnerbait is so versatile. u can pitch em, burn em, slow roll em..ect. a 7ft rod is better for longer casting and a 6-6,maybe even a 6ft is better for more accurate presentations. the reel has options too -a slow reel for slow rollin(5:1 or 6:1) and a fast(7:1) for burnin it back. but a great all around combo that you can do all this with is a 6'8" rod (i got an st. croix..$110) and a 6-4:1 reel (i use a quantum pt..$79) hope this helps ya bud!

Under what conditions would you KEEP a bass?
the only way i'd keep one is if it's 10+. though i do fish a semi-private lake that i have property on and sometimes keep some fish to eat (but never any over 2 lbs. ) if im consistantly catching small ones.. i try my best to keep my little private lake in check but realize it really doesnt even make a dent.

Best and worst TV Shows...
i think Charlie Moore would get his arse handed to him by Scott Martin.. ;D that would be the ultimate challenge!

Bass are spawning in FL
yeah i've been seeing them in the harris chain lately. some big female too.
-
crakbait rods
i got a 7 ft. medium St. Croix, and it's amazing for launching lipless cranks...and im fixing to get a med-lite for deep-divin.
-
What would you use a 6' Med Rod for?
yup this is exactly what i use for tossing a shallow crank bait under docks.... 6ft. medium st.croix

If you could only fish ONE lure the rest of your life....
Spinnerbait!

which one to choose
merc. and hopefully it's on the stratos 176, which is a well built fishin machine. glass boats are better in my opinion because they ride better in rough water. the tracker is fine but i think u'd be pleased with the stratos..

Harris - Kissimee - Central Florida Fishing Report
oh it was good fishin surfer..but what i meant was i had some good beddin fish and was hoping the water would stay around 60 degrees but it dropped to 57 and the fish pulled off. it was cloudy and windy so i couldn't see most of the beds also..we did have a back up plan and caught plenty of fish though.
-
When did you last catch a fish?
today.. a bunch too..their bedding like crazy in my spots.

Harris - Kissimee - Central Florida Fishing Report
Harris Chain January 26, 2008 Overcast wind- 10 NNE water temp-57 I had a little tourny with some friends of mine this weekend and even though the weather wasn't so great we still caught some good fish. I caught my fish pitching a trick worm blk-blue 1/8 oz. in canals and caught some shorts cranking shallow shell beds at the mouths with a bomer 6A (slowly)..Another friend caught all his fish off beds (16 pounds)- but thats a secret spot of course. my bedding fish weren't there i guess cause the weather. The rest of my friends caught their fish flipping kissimmee grass around staging areas...my buddy Neil caught two 6 pounders off aruku shad (ole glory) tossin it in pockets in the grass.(He won with 20 pounds)

quantum reels
those quantum reels are great (price too) I have three i use for long casting aps. but they're great for flippin and pitchin also! Definitely a great deal for the money!!!
-
Tungsten Or Lead??????
definitely tungsten..they're smaller and fit against a flippin bait better to reach down in those thick grass mats (in florida anyways)
