  1. that thing is a beast...if you only catch one , that's the one!
  2. lets not talk about the price of premium which goes in da boat.. :'( >
  3. na you don't have to worry bout snapping rods, also check if your drag is correct. many people believe when fishing braid to have their drag locked down and set the hook like a maniac ->which might snap the rod,( but it definitely rips a huge hole in the fishes mouth)
  4. earlier this year i saw fish on beds in 58 degree water
  5. not at all, nice one!
  6. good point, they're both big but hard to conceal, which by law they cant be visible (even a noticable bulge)
  7. because it is a full sized glock-> too bulky to hide
  8. thats too funny ;D
  9. try some line with stretch..p-line 15lb or any fluro for that matter, and as burley said the hooks ->get bigger ones
  10. just think of it this way guys..down here in florida we're able to fish all year long, but we sometimes get a little worn by it and duck hunt, deer hunt, or do someting of that nature just to do something else. and by the time we get done with all that we're pumped to go fish again! now i'm not tryin to make light of yalls situation by any means and i do feel bad for your weather, but i think its great yall are so pumped up to get out there so you can slay em'. hey your always welcome down here low of 60 high of 78
  11. yeah it's really hard not to watch that perticular machine ;D
  12. gatrboy is right, i've found that unlike hunting, really any sudden change in pressure will neutralize the bass. reaction baits are a good bet other than pissin one off on the bed.
  13. i live around this area and lake yale is down really bad. the main ramp(Marsh Park) is a doosy to get a bass boat down the canal(smaller boat no prob) as for the harris chain (which i hope u know u can't get to from yale) the spawn is still going. and yes gobbledog is very correct with the firetiger color.. :-X. red bug soft plastics work well too. also try throwing a lipless crank silver w/ green back or american shad. good luck and have fun

ok after some research (which i do too often due to college) i found some neat stuff on craws...they have Primary colors: Black, Brown, Green, and Grey --Secondary colors: Blue, Red, Orange, White, Yellow, and Amber.(which is usually during their molting period). Now i found mixed info on when they molt, i found that they mate in 50-55 degrees(their spawning period) and when finished the male molts and drops his (male parts). aslo i found they can molt up to 15 times a year for the adult craws(young ones more). their sizes on average are from 2-6 inches but bass prefer 3-4 inch ones. they usually live close to cover(in non-stagnant water) in well oxygenated water(shoreline- 20ft.) but can be used deeper(but will sometimes be mistaken for shad) i know there's a ton more to list so yall go ahead and add some more...

anyone know where i can get information on them. ie: color changes(with time of year and temp.) and so on.. sorry if this is an old topic :-?
  16. on one of my trips with my buddy down in the Keys, his mother caught this sailfish on pretty much bass tackle, 15lb power-pro with 20lb fluro leader and a 1/4 oz jighead tipped with a pilchard. needless to say it took a while to get in! i hooked up on two other sails but they came unbuttoned...
  17. 16lb berkley vanish or 50lb suffix braid for the nasty stuff
  18. jigs and dropshoting
  19. i watch it because my sister controls the tv at this time, but it is actually a decent show.
  20. hi, my name is john, and i'm not smarter than a third grader.. ;D
  21. well i was thinking of doing it a the kissimme chain because that's in the middle of most of us(here in florida..)... but it really doesn't matter and it doesn't have to be huge, just some of us getting together to fish! i totally understand how difficult it is to get everyone with a free day and willing to be at the same place, so all options are open..
  22. those are some biggin's, nice!!!
