  1. This is the third special teams fubar with a field goal unit. Seems like they could clean things up by now.
  2. A map and a jig. No electronic device exists that can do what you want from shore.
  3. In fact, Lunkerville TV will be on the new network, and there is plans for a second show with Mike D.
  4. Aaron Martens, simply because he's the worst salesman. I believe he believes in the companies that sponsor him.
  5. Dents in fiberglass from acorns? Gonna need some pics.
  6. It's expensive to make. You don't just smolt it like lead. Its formed in high pressure molds, at great heat.

My kids play the Rio version where you free the parrots. I can't get past playing euchre on my phone to getg into angry birds.
  8. Great info, Goose. I guess growing up in the food service industry has me taking hand washing for granted. Really good point that I totally missed. I hope you resolved the Pb levels quickly.
  9. My method is set trim all the way in and get up on plane. 30 mph is a good start. NOw trim it out and get used to the feel and steering. Find some waves or wakes to see how it fells. Come off plane, and watch how the boat acts, and how much to feather the throttle to keep the wake from overcoming the stern. Trim the motor in again, and get the hole shot to plane in one seamless action where your trimmed out as you hit that speed. Once you are 100% cool with how it feels, add five mph to the equation and repeat the process. It takes some time. I'm at about 60 mph with maybe 8 hours behind the wheel of my buddy's Bullet. Remember the obvious - PDF, kill switch, etc.

Border patrol? Looking like AZ makes sense, lol.
  12. A bathroom scale on rocking boat. .. Just more ammo for the doubters. When people figure out how to hold and weigh big fish in water, you'll see some legit weights. For now, L x G formulas will have to suffice. I respect the guys that release them a lot. Gotta be tough to let a record go.

I'm looking at VA. I just like the area, and there's good fishing, less snow.
  14. Anyone interested in the soap opera can start here. Time erases all trust. All records could be overturned, just let all the witnesses die, and lose the documentation. Look at the largemouth record. Or the smallmouth record that was entered, retracted, and reentered to the books.
  15. GMC Sierra and a Honda Civic. Hard to tow the boat with the Civic. Tough to check it as luggage either, LOL.
  16. So why doesn't Detloff use the same criteria to discount Louie Spray's catches (oh, bye the way caught just yards from Detloff's resort) as he did to discredit the Lawton fish? Yeah. To me, you have to catch a 70 lb. musky for it to be a "record breaker." Then I'll shut up, LOL. And that fish above is one fantastic catch! Lucky guy!
  17. All because Dettloff is a blow hard with ulterior motives. Thankfully, New York State recognizes the record.
  18. Looking at about $600 in gas round trip for me.I definitely need a riding partner to split the gas.
  19. Does that make the current NY record of 69-15 illegitimate?
  20. Your guy is full of it. Quantum is so good at supplying parts because they need so many repairs. Abu has been around forever with few changes to the round reels and parts are everywhere. Daiwa and Shimano are brands I not only recommend, but also own. You can add Pinnacle to that list, recently. All three have people answering the phone calls and emails - something I can't say for all the others. They've also NEVER let me or any of my customers down to date. But stick with your guy if you must. He must know something I don't.
  21. Oh yeah, here's the "correct" technique: http://plan-b.smugmug.com/Family/Fishing-Journal/i-CtHX3VG/1/L/IMG0302-L.jpg
  22. Just hold them upright in the water by their tail until the catch their breathe and swim away. If they don't revive, I have a lemon pepper recipe you can use.
  23. If you want to stand, a mod vee is probably the best. I would keep it simple, skip the decks, but carpet the interior.
  24. Are you going to be rowing, electric, or small OB? That would make a big difference to me. For me, I'd be looking for a modified-vee like 00 mod's boat for what you need. 14' and 48" wide would be fine. I'd also recommend a SOT kayak rigged for fishing a option to look at.
