How much bullet weight is necessary
What? If you put a container of water on a scale and it weighs 100 lbs. Then drop a 1 lb. bass in it the scale will read 101 lbs. The object's mass doesn't change. I'm not sure where the object's volume would fit in, but I have often joked that displacement would be THE MOST accurate way to determine whose fish is bigger.

Thoughts on these spinnerbaits?
When you catch a bass that has the trailer hook in it's chin, it crashed the blades, from above. You don't usually catch that fish without a trailer hook.

Pretty sure it's the motion of the ocean.- How much bullet weight is necessary

I've been using sealed lead acid 8ah batteries for over 10 years in my kayaks. They're less than $30, run a graph all day, easy to charge, weigh very little, and work well for me. I've never needed anything more than that for running electronics in a kayak. There's no reason for me to upgrade to something more expensive, but others' priorities may differ.- Drop Shot Fishing Too Boring To Watch On TV !
I love a good pitchers duel- Drop Shot Fishing Too Boring To Watch On TV !
I guess it would depend on the catch rate. The last tournament I fished on Erie, we boated around 45 fish before being forced back into the harbor around 10 AM. I bet that footage would have been better than watching thee hours of someone punching slop with a jig or hauling water with crank.- Solar Charger
You must be thinking of your own battery. The OP said his was $27. Nice setup, tho.- Rate the song above you
I heard this guy yesterday on Real Jazz XM and he blew me away. There's a ton of really relevant and compelling jazz coming out of South Africa.- New St Croix rod
I would encourage anyone to actually handle the rods before passing judgement. So far, the rod I received is pretty good. Stay tuned for pics and updates.- What is Most Limp Fluorocarbon Line in The Market(Prefer Seaguar Brand)

I don't think so. I have a older Deep South flipping stick that doesn't have an exposed blank, and I feel everything just fine. So, do you think spinning rods are less sensitive than casting rods with exposed blanks? Anyway, I got mine this weekend, preliminary tests tell me sensitivity is not an issue.- What Does Your Dicks Sporting Goods Look Like?

Same way it gets done on every spinning rod I own. Must be special cork in them, because everything I read on the internet says it deadens the feel. So many myths.- Seaguar finesse fluorocarbon

Is it?- Tilapia spawning questions
Based on what I've seen from my aquarium tilapia, I wouldn't want to be anywhere near a Tilapia bed, if I were a bass. They're downright violent.- Winter fishing zoom call series

There's nothing in the drag system that would fail here, causing the drag to work intermittently. It sounds like failing all the other answers, the spool release is not engaging the spool pin. I've worked on reels that were gummed up and would stick. Sometimes fiddling with the drag adjustment, or just smacking the top of the reel with your hand gets it to engage. The permanent solution is to have it serviced, and set up for cold weather use.- Ever Shiner / slip-bobber fish for Bass?
I was thinking of ice fishing as another similar deal. Drifting egg sacs for salmon during peak run is similar, where you stake your 6' of shoreline and run the same drift for 6 hours hoping for a bite from a fish that has passed by 1000 other egg sacs.- Avid here ... anyone remember me ?♂️
Yep! Welcome back.- Solar Charger
For your phone, you'd need some kind of inverter to work with the solar charger, and I think you already know it takes around 4-6 hours with a 5w charger to bring a phone back from almost dead. That isn't a linear charge either, so I'm not even sure it would work. I have a couple of those "jump starters" for USB charging devices, and they work well, and are very light. It's basically another battery with a USB port, which is perfect. Those 9ah fish finder batteries are not light, so if you're hiking in, I can see the issue. It looks like that charger is a little over 3 lbs. I just don't know if you're going to get a decent payback on 10w charger. If I'm not hiking in, I'm buying two more batteries. - Zebco Omniflex
